I have gotten permission from Derek to post this, so NO flaming.
---
It's about time I posted this, so here goes. Planet X Fiction is a new publishing company that I am a part of. Now, what's unique about us is that our stories are created not only for the fans, but also by the fans. That's right. If you post a story idea that we like, we'll let you make it. When it gets published, you will be paid and honored. Our creator, Brad Johnson, is awesome (and Canadian). He started so many things that are awesome:

Cade's War: A comic book about a badass bounty hunter trying to kill Overlord, the man who destroyed his home planet. This WILL become a movie.

Spritesapiens: A webisode series that's kind of like Robot Chicken meets Code Monkeys meets sci-fi. It's absolutely hilarious.

And a lot more. Just look at our forums!

Back to what I was saying, everyone takes part in the helping of PXF. It's a lot of fun. Everyone knows each other and we have good times coming up with ideas. One of us is making a Cade's War RPG with RPGMaker.

Currently, there is something being made called the Cade's War Experience. In this, people will be able to make their own characters, interact with other players, go on missions, battle others, buy weapons and ships, and if their character is good enough, they could possibly be put in the actual comic. This is currently in beta testing.

Publishing and licensing is currently in progress. It'll be ready very soon. We are publishing a small short story compilation which I have written a story for. The name of the compilation is called, "Alloteras and Other Giant Monster Shorts." My story is called, "Roar of Fear."

This is a great thing and I hope many people will get involved.

For more info, look here or here

I am volunteering to do this. I was not paid to post this.

Yeah, I really like it. It needs a little bit of polishing, though.

I just discovered a fangame of metroid called "Metroid: Bounty."

Normally, I dislike fan games. I never play them. I have extremely low expectations of them.

But...

My initial reaction to this particular game was "Holy shit! This is perfect!"

And it really is perfect. (for a fangame.)

It stays true to the previous 2d metroid games, except it uses an Abuse style targetting system.

Thus far the story seems nonexistent (I only had the game a few hours,) but other than that and the fact that it's a fan game, it's perfect.

I think as many people should be informed about it as possible before Nintendo finds it and sues.

I DOWNLOADED THAT LAST NIGHT! IT IS AWESOME!

Space Snakes on a Spaceship.

Hell, I'd play it.  Putting "Space" in front of something automatically makes it cooler.  For instance:

Slugs: Not cool.
Space Slugs: Way cool.

Hemorrhoids: Not very cool at all.
Space Hemorrhoids: Crazy cool.  And itchy.

Babes: Pretty cool.
Space Babes: Super-awesome cool.
What about Cactus' game, Fuck Space?
