I'm not saying I think it's right. I'm saying it doesn't make sense to expect that a member of a different society, especially one from a distant past, act accordingly to our standards.
And I was just being silly about the pope.

Though I'm not pretty sure what do you mean by micro-machines, I think that they are more likely stuff of nanoscience unless they are explicitly meant to cause diseases. This cell and DNA thing is actually more related to biology than actual "machines". And by the way, just a fact that nanobots can have in theory laser guns blasting your veins raises their coolness factor above cell bacterias I don't know. Couldn't an autonomous self-reproducible micro-machine be considered a cell? Would the field of robotics be ultimately responsible for the creation of living beings?

I'm pretty sure a lot of people would be quite reasonably offended by your lumping together of Naziism and all world religions...
Even if it actually was the nazist symbol, I wouldn't be very offended. The pope was a nazi. It can't get much worse than that. I stand by what I say, but thanks to people who responded to my post, for or against, it is nice to see debate like this where people can present a lot of possible viewpoints. I would like to clarify that I don't like any religion and I don't have a personal grievance against islam, but it is a striking example of how bad religion is in some cases, and was topical.
My point was that pedophilia is a state of mind, and from what I recall, Mohammad didnt get extremely fuck happy with any of them at first, the consummation was a required act for him to form his posse of wimminz. Having sex with a nine year old doesnt have to imply pedophilia, the only thing explicitly implied is that he is willing to fuck a nine year old to forward his goals/agenda. I don't know the habits of that place and age, but didn't people marry much younger in some places? And wasn't marriage by interest a common thing? We may be outraged by such behavior, but we are judging by the values of our current society. Unless the same rules and expectations apply in that context, I don't think it is a fair judgement.

Funded!
Oh, and I want to hear from any and all indies. Doesn't matter who. Actually I would love to hear from brand new people we've never heard of too, but it's their movie so whatev.
Funded already? Wow, that was quick. Yet, if people wanted to see someone interviewing every kind of indie game developer, they should be funding You Meet The Nicest People Making Videogames, because that's exactly what the guy behind it is proposing to do. I'd like to drive all over the country over the course of a month, late this summer, and interview as many independent game developers as I can find, from every different stripe. Then, I'll edit the footage into a documentary, which I'll give away freely over the Internet, for the world to enjoy.

Why are these drawings anymore offensive then any other shitty MSPaint drawing?
They aren't, but they don't have much merit by themselves, so it's not difficult to see why they are considered just a disrespect. I think a better way to do this would be put some effort in doing good depictions rather than just shabby sketches. However, I've seen/heard the people on youtube you refer to, while they are worthy of condemnation. I'd hardly bestow the title of 'moderate', whatever that means.
Well, Youtube isn't the best place to find moderate people...

Maybe it's a reference of the tendency of creating retro-styled titles and the inspiration drawn from old school games. Alternatively, the hanging of the SNES controller could represent the act of rejecting the mainstream.

Ugh. I do. I wish I didn't. I don't deny that it is an impressive work that required a huge amount of skill and dedication, but it is so disturbing and disgusting that it made me wish I had never seen it. Oh well, I guess I can't blame anyone but myself for having watched it.

Open world games are the ones I play around with, do a couple of missions, play around some more, get bored and stop playing them before even getting halfway to the end.
I don't know. Maybe I never played a good one. Maybe it is something like the paradox of choice. Maybe I miss a (stronger) context for all the possible courses of action other than the main missions. Maybe experiencing them fully requires too much effort.
That said, I wish I could play RDR. It seems an awesome game.

Remake FF7 and we'll talk...
One terrible movie sequel or whatever it was is more than enough for everyone thankyouverymuch. I enjoyed that movie a lot. Still, I'm not sure I want a remake of the game. So, I'd say an awesome movie sequel was enough for me. Yep I definitely need a PS3. Demon's Souls, LBP2 and in the future Persona 5. Persona 5 is all the reason I need to buy a PS3.

i don't know what you mean by "arbitrary bandwidth restrictions based on protocol", could you clarify?
The torrent speed restrictions that were already pointed out in this thread. Not only that, but some ISPs have already tried to block VoIP.

that post seems to be getting closer to the reasoning of most in this thread. 'big internet companies are rich, so let's use the government to take their services for cheap in unfair ways, since we need it more'.
Would you rather that they provided internet only where was convenient for them and blocked everything they deemed not profitable enough. Being less extreme, I would ask: Do you agree with those arbitrary bandwidth restrictions based on protocol? Do you think the ISPs do not take heavy users and difficult locations on account when defining tier prices? If they know what they are doing, they certainly do. I seriously doubt they are earning less than the fair price.

George Lucas actually only created Indiana Jones after he played Spelunky. Then he went back in time and gave his notes to his past self.

Well, boohoo for those poor big companies.
I'm sure they can take it way better than the heavy user living in a remote place. If they couldn't, would they provide the service at all in the first place? If it was so bad for them, they would lower the bandwidth or raise the price everywhere. Besides, for every heavy user giving them a loss, they probably have at least 3 "browse a little and read emails" users giving them a huge profit.

Pokémon usually sells a lot. It's not just kids that buy those games. In fact, I'm not even sure if children make the majority of the player base. Pokémon was created in 1996, it is in its teens now.

Those people are usually paying for all the bandwidth they intend to use. They aren't parasiting anyone. Just because the other ones don't use all the bandwidth they have paid for, it doesn't mean the bandwidth is taken from them. As you have said yourself by the end of your post, the problem is that ISPs are promising more than they can (or are willing to) provide.
Tiered plans give a predictable, fixed price and they are nice for managing expenses. I doubt those ISPs are actually operating at a loss since the probably compensate those costs raising prices everywhere. If they didn't, some places would have incredibly expensive prices for internet, if they had internet at all, and that would harm the population of those places. I'm not against measured internet plans, but I'm against artificially restricting a protocol or a heavy traffic site. I'm also in favor of making internet available everywhere with a price as low as possible.
Torrent and file-sharing in general have legitimate uses. Right now I'm seeding the episodes of a gaming podcast that "went into hiatus" and is not hosting them anymore. I'm doing it with the permission of the owners, like many other fans. Many linux distributions, free music (from Jamendo, OCRemix and others) and other legitimate projects use torrents as a way of distribution. It's not something supported only by people who take away things without paying, but also by people who GIVE AWAY things they make.
