PLANDER is about a tiny astronaut who steals a spaceship and leaves Earth in search of something more in the universe. As he blasts his way through space, the ship's computer alerts him to various planets in danger, but it's totally up to Plander whether or not he decides to answer the distress calls or drift into eternity all on his own.

If he does travel down, there will be a landing minigame - the title comes from this: "Planet Lander." This is then followed by some puzzle platforming and more in order to rescue alien races and make it back to his ship in time to survive another day in the universe.

Once Plander returns to the ship, these new friends will stay on board and hang out. They may also give you little rewards for helping them escape. You can also leave the ship at any time to head out into space for a swim.

I’ll be making the game in Game Maker which means that I should be able to release it for Windows, Mac, and Linux (Ubuntu) by the time I’m done.

The IndieDB page is already available and you can keep up with general Silhouette Games stuff on the Silhouette Games Tumblr. Constructive comments are more than welcome and eventually I'd like to find some people interested in testing it, but for now it's very early in development.

Thanks for stopping by. Smiley

Working on this dragon backdrop today...
The top was the original sketch, the bottom is the current in-game graphics.

Here's an animated shot from my game History of the Demon Girl in motion:

The parallaxing is new and something that I'm working on. I'm also going to do some vertical parallaxing so I'm developing backgrounds to handle that. It's a fun process. :D Check out the progress I've made in the last couple days:

The game is currently looking for funding on KS and you can also vote for it on Greenlight. Thanks for the support and any feedback you have is welcome.

To find out more about the project and get the latest news about what I'm working on, take a look at the TIGS Project Devlog for the game.

Thanks!

Here's a progress shot for a backdrop in the 8th Circle of Hell.

The creatures and souls in this level are all a little more smelly, a little more gooey, and a little less rigid than those found in the frozen ice caves of the 9th Circle. Wink

There's still a lot of work to be done, but I'm happy with how it's progressing at least. Smiley Let me know what you think!

Hey, everyone! My name's Danny - though I usually go by Shadow64 online. I'm a solo developer and my company is called Silhouette Games. This thread will follow the development of my first major release, History of the Demon Girl.

In the game you race through Hell as Roku, the demon girl. A mysterious demon named Sam wakes you up from your frozen slumber and tells you that you can finally escape from an icy eternity, but you have to go now. Along the way you'll need quick reflexes to dodge The Devil's obstacles and collect powerful tokens that increase your speed, boost your strength, and make you an all around badass. At the end of every level, Sam tells you his true feelings about your performance. Wink It's a lot of fun and it's got a pixel art style and chiptune soundtrack that harken back to the days of Capcom classics like Mega Man and Little Nemo: The Dream Master!

Right now the project is seeking funding via Kickstarter, so if you're interested in the game, please become a backer.

If you want to try the game out you can check out the demos on Kongregate. Here are the links:

Demo 1
Demo 2

You can also download the demos by visiting the IndieDB page and checking out the download section.

Here are some screenshots from the demos above:

It's also currently on Steam Greenlight with over 600 votes!

Thanks for checking out the game and please leave any questions or comments in the thread, I'd be happy to respond! Smiley

Take care!

Well, I'm here for less than two weeks and I've already made a few lovely mistakes, look at that. :\

Hi! My name's Danny and I'm an indie developer. I worked for Sony Computer Entertainment America for a year, starting right before the launch of the PS3 (I was mostly helping them test for backwards compatibility and blu-ray playback). I also worked for Square Enix (US) for five years where I learned a lot and tested a lot of great games including Final Fantasy XIII, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, and more. Smiley

About a year ago, I left to pursue my dream of making my own games and so I started Silhouette Games and here I am.

Thanks for reading!

And I'm sorry I started a feedback thread before posting here. My previous work has kept me away from forums for fear of accidentally saying something I wasn't allowed to, so this is a little new to me. Smiley

Oh man! I can't believe I did that. THANK YOU for pointing that out. I really appreciate that. They should all be fixed now. I'm so sorry, that was so dumb.  Embarrassed

I hope people get a chance to play it and I'd love to hear your feedback. Thank you again for bringing this to my attention!

Sorry to reply to my own post, but I realized I didn't include any screens:

That's better.  Beer! Thanks for taking a look!

Hey everyone! Smiley

Just wanted to pop in and ask people to check out my game History of the Demon Girl!

I just released a brand new version of the demo and it's available for FREE PLAY here.

If you want to download it and play it later, head to IndieDB!

The game is available for Windows and Mac.

I'm looking for feedback as well as people who are interested in backing the Kickstarter for the full game. I'm also seeking Greenlight status on Steam. Any kind of support or feedback is welcome at this point.

Thank you so much for your time - I hope you enjoy the game and I look forward to hearing from you!  Grin
