Chzo him/itself confuses the hell out of me, having never played 6 Days. Some of these characters and games are so obscure, it doesn't really matter what we put in or leave out.
Chzo is a theme throughout, appearing in Notes and suggested at in earlier games and makes a good level because he(it) is sort of a place in him(it)self. The only other place that I could think of would be DeFoe Manor, but it's not quite as vivid. I'm not saying it's not obscure, but since we seem to be looking for iconic levels, Chzo certainly is memorable to those who have seen it.

we could just have dacabe as a stage hazard rather than cabadath. that would make more sense plotwise anyway
He's less iconic, I think, and would confuse the hell out of anyone who hasn't played 6 Days.

I think Cabadath should simply appear, and if HIT he instantly appears next to the target and runs them through, and then disappears. No knockback, but a chunk of unavoidable damage.
Cabadath does pretty much kill anyone who gets in his way in the games, but there's no proper way to make that work besides picking a random player to shank (which will leave them feeling victimized.)

Even still, that's not terribly iconic of DF. All the characters that represent ground or gems are just punctuation, which might look kind of odd.
I'll elaborate on my thought: a giant cavern underground with distant waterfalls and machinery and maybe even tiny dwarves working in the distance on the rock face (very simple repetitive animations.) Also, every now and then (maybe even as a hazard) the top half of a giant (taking up the lower half of the screen) ASCII character for some legendary beast, like a giant purple "S" or "&" with scales, lumbers by in the background, maybe causing the screen and platforms to shake and rocks to fall in the foreground.

Maybe just a massive subterranean cavern (as in the newest version of DF) with giant sinister looking ASCII characters stomping back and forth in the background.

So is a hard game really a bad game?
Not necessarily, but making the player feel like they could have avoided the death by skill rather than luck or sudden reaction time will make them come back for more, just to see if they can do it. Sudden instant deaths have a habit of alienating new players. Besides, a lot of people don't play IWBTG beyond the first screen or two. I don't think health is a necessity for this style of game, but maybe more of a difficulty curve rather than a spike would do to improve the playability. My other immediate thought was that the various objects are a bit incongruous just floating in a pleasant sky, maybe inside an industrial complex or something would make a bit more sense. Nevertheless, good progress so far.

Either way, I consider "standing up for what you believe in" to be something of a virtue. Doing so in a friendly, constructive way is the most effective thing you can do to make the world a better place On this forum, I agree with you. He just seemed concerned over the possibility of inflammatory posts, and often I find discretion is the better part of the internet.

Unless you are completely unable to stay calm, that is just horrible advice. I change my views on things based on discussions here all the time. Forums are about having discussions, you know.
Forums are about having discussions, yes. But leaping to the defense of something with no real reason to do so will only cause an equally impassioned response.

My suggestion? Don't bother trying to stand up for your beliefs. You're not going to convince anyone on the internet, and alienating other forum members just leads to more conflict. Just ignore those topics and you'll get along fine.

If you want to integrate yourself into a community, just start posting, and everywhere. Make yourself known by simply being involved.
This isn't Deviantart, we aren't really concerned with give and take. If you make something interesting, you'll get feedback. If you're just looking for feedback and then to disappear, well, there isn't a lot of incentive for anyone else to treat you as an effective community member. If you want involvement, then get involved.

Okay, now it is giving me different results every time. 1 in 200000, and suddenly less information. Also, the listed time zone is wrong Edit: I think tons of NoScripters are using this now. Down to 150000
