It looks like the best kart game ever, because the best kart game ever will be nothing but pure dumb racing action with a great interface (and customization).

This is great. I made it to lvl 3, how many are there? Very hard but overall cool. I wish there were more upgrades to the gun though, or ways to fire more than 4 shots..

There are 12 levels.
Upgrades are another good idea I may try.
I honestly can't tell how hard it is because I've been testing it too much.

Okay, here is 1.0!

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7216965/SDDX1.0.rar
It's basically 0.9 with all the graphics, a few small fixes, and more sounds.

Now I'm not done yet!
This is simply the first complete version.

I've had lots of ideas for other features, and lots of suggestions (thank you L), and I'm going to see what I can hack around with while the other entries trickle in.

It's the original Jigsaw.

Oh yeah, that game that doesn't load half the time.

Which game is this? I don't recognize it.

The waves of my arrival might flood Ottowa.

I believe it is YOU good sir who will need to prepare for Ottawa! The Dirty Rectangles crew is getting right ready for your arrival. Hope you like russian beer!

If we don't take them to the Works I will be mildly disappointed.

Space Dreams DX!

Unfinished, as you may guess by my bitching about art assets in the readme.
Definitely need balancing feedback and etc.

I'm still tempted to change the terrible story line on my instruction page to the even more terrible one from the Action 52 manual.

Something like that...

Basically. The concept is simple enough, but programming the algorithm to actually do it took years, and it's still imperfect.
2171  Developer / Collaborations / Re: Lights! Camera! Action! ACTION 52 OWNS (let's do this) on: May 17, 2010, 05:13:40 PM
Well on my way over here. Game is done, last few art assets to do.

2172  Player / General / Re: Content Aware technology on: May 17, 2010, 03:12:37 PM
Content-Aware fill and resize are 'revolutionary' 'new' filters that essentially allow you to fill in a specific area with neighbouring textures with no clear separation or line. Resize allows you to subtract unnecessary space or add it between close colours.

In essence, if done PROPERLY, you can write stuff out of photos entirely and the filter will smooth the texture and background randomly so it appears as if the object was never there.

However, getting it to work properly is not so easy...
And these are the results of doing it wrong.

I am posting here just to keep an eye on this.

Very, very cool stuff.

My favourite thing about this whole Content-Aware fol-de-rol is that the GIMP has already had it for a while. Some random student made it as his thesis, called it Resynthesize. Suddenly, it's in the next PS iteration  Noir

Way to horribly downsize everything, photobucket.

Screens, a description, etc. would really help get some attention.

(smooth looking level editor)

That's a pretty smooth looking level editor.

I made this for the time being
