I had played Aardwolf on and off for a while, it was pretty bleh to me, I mean don't get me wrong it had some interesting parts, but ultimately the gameplay was what killed it for me.

I actually believe that character customization is interesting however there should be alot of thought placed into the story so that the choices are varied and the player can actually adapt their feelings into the game. There are few games that actually have enough selections to make it personal enough. The character's mindset is already in stone. And if there is a variance, it is either one or the other, no mix of both.

TL;DR wall of text, manbaby advertising a game, I think I smell spam.

Nah not a spam, I play the game and thought to post it here as the link that led me to the group came from this group. I posted in the introduce yourself area aswell. Thanks for the vote of confidence though  Cheesy

Hi, name is Chris. I am 22, I sometimes sign on and play MUDs, but only if they are free and not for very long if they aren't fun. I found this actually searching for some sort of group to roleplay with. I play DnD aswell and such. Uhh... I went to college for Game Software Development, didn't have the money to finish and now owe 30,000 bucks so i kinda already am screwed for life but eh, it still goes on right? Hit me up with anything interesting, always interested in trying out new things and such.

Hi guys, lets get straight to the point I currently play a mud called Elysium, I find that the gameplay of this mud makes it WAY better. There is a problem this mud has and that is lack of roleplay, the reason it has a lack of roleplay is the players work on two teams and this is generally for being able to PvP since its almost always group battles. What I want is for more people to play, but I would like them to Roleplay. I think the best way to do this is to get friends to team up with you before you dedicate to the game.
The current races are Human, Elves, Hamakei (a bird type race), Spawn (demons tricked by the demon god Gralnak into leaving their imortality in hades and becoming mortals on the regular plane), Specters (A race that was formally known as the Hakkarren, but they were to powerful and were trapped in another plane, but after convincing the humans to free them some of their former self excaped the other plane before Zharadan (god of magic) sealed the portal again. Thusly they are a ghostly form of their former self), Cyclops, Goblins, Orcs, and Dwarves.
The current Gods are Gralnak, Demon Lord of Chaos; Silathis, Master of Pain; Velarq, Spinner of Fate; Zharadan, God of Magic; Aurora, Goddess of Tranquility; Alaric, God of the Golden Dawn. The gods are listed in order of most evil to most good. The Current orders that have an active member base (although not roleplayed very well) are Gralnak's and Aurora's.
Any roleplayers would be greatly welcomed, but the more specific I am looking for is to revive Alaric's Order of the Golden Dawn. Currently there are like 5 members of the Golden Dawn but they roleplay horribly and do not accomplish anything for the order. The ideal characters for Alaric's order are Human, Hamakei, Elves, or Dwarves.
When you create your character you will be able to look into different guilds and see what skills you wish to learn, Each guild teaches 3 skillgroups and you can learn a total of 6 thusly the idea skills form into 4 different careers for Alaric.
The first of these Career's is Paladin's (Join the Knight's guild, this will allow you to learn Swordplay, Taming, and Fisticuffs. The other three skills you should learn are Channeling, Healing, and Acrobatics.)
The second of these Career's is Crafter's (Join the Artisan's guild, this will allow you to learn Runesmithing, Ensorcelling, and Forging. The other three skills you should learn are Alchemy, Crystals, and Bludgeons.)
The third of these Career's is Life Mage (Join the Sorceror's of Light guild, this will allow you to learn Channeling, Mentalism, and Astrology. The other three skills you should learn are Healing, Farsight, Dreamsight.)
The fourth of these Career's is Ranger (Join the Ranger's Guild, this will allow you to learn Archery, Subterfuge, and Herbalism. The other three skills you should learn are Filidhism, Taming, and Astrology.)

Consider the posibilities of mixing over thirty different skillgroups, the roleplay is endless it simply takes players who wish to try their best. Come give it a whirl ey?
