I heartily recommend it. It's going to be the early years of the Marvel Universe, mind. The early 30's to around the early 80's.

It is about Viewtiful Joe being a super justice robot cop, more or less. Beats up bad guys that look like the Tick, isn't afraid of anything. Noir Here, have this trailer.

Also, does Y: The Last Man get significantly better after volume 1? I read it a while ago and thought it was absolutely abysmal. It's continued popularity confuses me.

It's a long journey kinda deal. Though it really relies on its original premise throughout the entire series. If the original concept didn't hook you, I can't say how you'll appreciate the rest of it.

I definitely do not recommend The Dark Knight Strikes Again. Concerned The plot, dialogue and art are all slightly insane and confusing.

I hosted a big-ass new years diner party for all my friends.

From what I've read by him, I can easily recommend We3, his run on JLA, Flex Mentallo, We3, SeaGuy and New X-Men.

Dear God new X-Men was amazing. He blew up the entire concept of the X-Men by making stories mostly centred about the transition of dominance from humans to mutants. You had elements like Mutant Subculture (art, music, etc) and Mutant Urban Ghettos. It felt more about the story of a new race instead of people beating themselves up.

I liked the part where Batman shot a a god bullet at a Space God embodying cosmic evil, got shot by laser-beam eyes by said Space God, got thrown into an inverted reincarnation cycle, hounded by a hyper-adaptive sentient attack idea in different historical eras, carrying deep within himself the energy to implode the universe ideologically when he returned to the present 21th century and yet managed to still win in the end.

I love you Grant Morrisson. Smiley

By the way, if you've never read Superman, read All-Star Superman. It's amazing on so many different levels.

My best guess would be Chameleon Twist 2.

Taskmaster = Kirby. He's been often seen recreating weapons (Cap's shield, for example) or more powerful abilities by using hard light constructs. Shrug

Taskmaster is a bad-ass.

This. Realized too late it's a thing I really, really wanted. Cry It's like a huge book of 12-page comics in newspaper-sized paper format. It's a rather huge deluxe book.

What's the last thing you bought off Steam?

Daleks. Now that is just silly. EXTERMINATE! is just way more iconic than anything else this side of a bloody TARDIS, mate. Plus, their outershells are kinda cute for a bunch of universe-spanning genocidal tyrants.

Do you listen to This American Life? You should be.
