Try it. You'll surely learn something out of the experience. Good or bad. Especially if you've never tried an mmo before.

Storyline-wise, Blizz made you new players can catch up. If you get hooked, you can always fill in the gaps online. Personnally, I like the lore aspects of the game. They are fun.

Well, it's a safe way to learn poker. Safe = no money involved. There is no tutorial, but if you read on the basics of Texas Hold'em, they are applied in a pretty well done context.

5 dollars is dirt cheap, in my opinion.

In a totally unrelated way, Poker Night at the Inventory is pretty fun. It's a cool way to learn Poker.

Everyone you (or me) play with/against in competitive online games.

FFT? Tactics?

I got tired of FFXII real fast because it was just boring. I thought the battles had no intensity or fun. In contrast, the turn-based battle system in FFX/FFX-2 seemed much more dynamic, fast and fun to me.

To each his own. I guess. Tongue

Ant-Lions in Half-Life 2.

Avatar was nice enough. I mean it's fun and incredibly generic science fiction. If you have no exposure to the genre, I guess you will of course be be impressed up the wazoo by it.

Culture is a dirty word, nowadays.

There's a "A Christmas Carol, Doctor Who Christmas Special" that is coming. Tears of Joy

L.A. Noire from Rockstar is a pure detective game. It's about investigation and interrogation. Wink The focus is not on shooting and sandbox exploration.

Does anyone have any good overhead twin-stick shooters to recommend? Indie, Flash, Mainstream, anything!

Neat concept.

Honestly, Zombies are a bit over done. Maybe consider different monsters to hunt? That could lead to more interesting dishes in the long run. Wink Imagine: Chimaera Three Spice Blood pudding, Vampire Hot Wings, Frozen Strawberry Medusa Snakes or Cyclop Gaspacho. Lots of possibilities.

I really like the Hunting/Managing parts. They seem more fast paced and interesting. I'd consider diminishing the importance of Butchering/Cooking. Plus to translate such high-concept mechanics such as cooking, a lot of effort would have to be put into making it work effectively.

Hunting could be like an overhead adventure (think Zelda/Pokémon). Before going out, you would have to select specific weapons to counter effectively different types of targets, or like you said, the ingredient quality would suffer. Maybe just use large areas interconnected by a world map that slowly unlock itself. Players could eventually hire employees and send them out on missions.

Managing could be like an hybrid harvest moon/slower paced diner dash. There could be a day/night system that the player could decide. Your restaurant could be even specialized in breakfast, lunch or supper!

I need to stop wanting to write about it! Yeah, it's a cool concept worth developing.   Hand Thumbs Up LeftSmileyHand Thumbs Up Right

Rock of Ages

Team Ace (Zeno Clash) is developing, but Atlus is publishing.

This is depressing. You can have compelling games that are F2P, monetize well and are balanced. To me, that slideshow is likely saying: "This is too hard, fuck everything and let's make Pavlov proud". Makes want to challenge this head on, so I guess it... worked? Concerned

Edit: This thread seems to be about F2P asian game design. The title is really misleading.

She's a lawyer. Smiley

I think that's awesome. Especially if there's Phoenix Wright.
