That said, I'm kinda surprised you got the job if you're not qualified. My mother asked an aunt of mine if she could help me find a job. I obviously didn't have a problem with that, but I didn't know the job was going to be something completely opposite to what I can/want to do. By normal means I would have never been able to get this job. It's been fishy since the beginning - I asked them what I'd do exactly, and they told me not to worry about it, that they'd not ask me to do something I don't know. I know the economy is bad right now, and I'd be glad to have a job if a)I didn't hate it, and b)I'd be somewhat capable of doing it. I don't know how it works outside of Mexico, but I still have to get my "professional title" now that I have graduated, and this is just consuming my time and energy. Oh, and I don't know when I'm getting paid, it could be months from now. That's how the government works around here

I ~kind of~ quit my new job today. See, they don't make me do anything at job. It's been like that all week long, until today. I was given probably 2 to 3 books worth of material to read. I think I did a great job reading a lot of it, but the point is, I didn't understand one single paragraph I'm not a lawyer, I've never wanted to be a lawyer, and most importantly, I'm NEVER going to be a lawyer. I phoned my boss as soon as I got home and told him I feel like I don't fit the job, I've been busy with post-graduation school issues and that ultimately I'd like a job that would relate to what I know, what I'm good at and what I want to do. He told me to think about it and that we'd talk later next week. My mother is going to be furious... but she always is, so whatever. I'll be one of those immature, conformist people who put trivial things like satisfaction and happiness above salary. At the end of the day, I truly don't know about laws, and I'm not interested in that stuff at all.

Not really! Comparable to other large rodents like rabbits or guinea pigs I guess. Except rabbits are leporids, not rodents. But yeah, they're pretty similar and even have a common ancestor. The dogs haven't met the rabbit ^^ Wouldn't risk it either, they chase wild rabbits every morning on their walk Yeah, doesn't sound like a great idea. I think my dog never wanted to harm my rabbit, he was just really anxious whenever the rabbit was out of his cage. I put the rabbit near my dog once (I was of course holding my dog) and all my dog did was lick him. So... yeah, he probably wanted to know how the rabbit tasted But he licks everyone and everything, so yeah. The best part was how my rabbit COMPLETELY ignored my dog, no matter how much he barked at him. I would have thought the rabbit would be scared, but no, he didn't seem to care about loud dogs. Both dogs and rabbits are so awesome.

I don't think I can contribute a lot to this, but there are very difficult, completely unfair games that still manage to be fun and highly addictive. I've been playing Spelunker for NES recently, it's just absurd; EVERYTHING kills you, even bat poop and falling from a height greater than 6/8 pixels. And you have 3 lives to complete the games. And still, I can't stop playing it.
As for modern games, I guess it's just a consequence of games becoming more mainstream. And I don't have a problem with that, but developers should find a way to adapt to both people who are not very skilled and those who want a serious challenge. Difficulty settings or something like Nintendo's 'Super Guide' might be a good solution.

Yup, Koji Kondo is awesome. Also, I seriously love almost every Mega Man soundtrack to date, but I don't really know the people behind those

The below post contains a lot of fanboyism, read at your own risk!Shigeru Miyamoto. His games, his love for video games, his humbleness, his craziness, and how he completely ignores how modern games are supposed to be and simply keeps doing his thing, just trying to make a fun experience. He should always draw the art for Mario games. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ja5GNzmUhho

~Rm88's awesome list of 'games I'll probably get once I buy a PS3'~
MUST HAVE! - 3D Dot Game Heroes - Spelunker HD (whenever it comes out) - Tekken 6 - Super Street Fighter IV - Mortal Kombat 9 - Demon's Souls (because of this thread) - BlazBlue: Continuum Shift
Game I may buy, but I'm not sure - Little Big Planet (I play WAY TOO MANY platformers right now with Wii, DS and indie) - ModNation Racers (I truly prefer Mario Kart Wii, which I still play a lot)

I just emailed Nintendo of America. I told them about my problem and how it sucks that there's no official Nintendo repair center in Mexico, and how I'm stuck with two options (buying a new Wii and lose my virtual purchases and save files, or getting it repaired at a local repair shop and it breaking in about one year). I even used the "I'm a loyal customer and your service is not that great" card. I know it won't work, I know they don't care, but I just had to let them know

Still kinda sad I'll be missing on Spelunky and Limbo, but it seems worth it. But Spelunker HD is supposedly coming soon, I'll definitely buy it if I have a PS3 by then. No, it's not that Spelunker is a good Spelunky substitute, but I had to mention Spelunker HD somehow

VC games: you can store them on a SD, but they can only be played on your Wii. Save files: most of them, yes, except for games with Wi-Fi capabilities (like my Brawl save file with everything unlocked and hundreds of hours of play, or my 1 star Mario Kart Wii save file). My options: 1- Get it fixed, it'll probably broke again in about a year and I'll miss the limited edition red Wii 2- Buy a new awesome red Wii, losing my precious files/VC games and not getting a PS3 this christmas Both suck. It sucks that there's no such thing as 'Nintendo of Mexico' and having to resort to non-official repair centers.

Oh, great. Apparently my Wii just broke. I tried to play New Super Mario Bros. Wii and it refuses to read the disc, repeatedly making a clicking sound. I tried cleaning the lens with a lens cleaner disc but no luck this time. Yesterday I brought it to a friend's house, other than that I really don't know why it happened. Consoles truly never are the same once they're repaired the first time Now I'll have to get it repaired, which sucks because it'll most likely stop working after some time. I'd get a new Wii, but I have bought a lot of VC games and I don't want to lose the save files that can't be copied.

It is an "action parody" game after all. Looks fun, I just wish the sprites were bigger.
