^ Yup. And Nintendo Show 3D (exclusive to America right now) is a show about this girl pretending being a gamer and talking about upcoming 3DS games.

I use it for Nintendo Video, Nintendo Show 3D, photos and stuff like that, but never for games. That will change once I get a game where playing with 3D feels better than playing without 3D (like Tekken 3D or Mario Kart 7, both running at 60fps with 3D on).

I've always hated the "if this doesn't sell well we might not make any more ((((" teaser. Mario Extreme Bungee Tennis 8 probably only sold 5 copies ever and they still made a 9th one. Nintendo loves their original characters and they will march them into new games until the heat death of the universe. You'd be surprised, Mario spin-offs like Tennis, Golf, Strikers, etc. usually sell more than 1 million. And then you have Mario Kart, which outsells regular Mario and pretty much any other series - Mario Kart Wii is currently at 28.33m according to vgchartz, the only game that beats that this generation is Wii Sports (being included with the Wii). With each passing day Nintendo seems to be relying more and more on this game's success. It will make or break motion control, that's for sure. Nintendo is already done with motion controls. See: Wii U

Isn't that way too long? I usually find myself struggling to finish Zelda games. But I'm not a big Zelda fan, so yeah.

But Catalán is a different language, while Castellano and Español are simply two ways of calling the same language. Of course there'll be regional differences, but Español/Castellano in Spain, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, etc. is still the same language.

This thing is huge in Mexico I don't remember any other recent release being such a big deal around here. Maybe when the next Halo comes out.

They aren't even designing games for it. I hope most people who buy those games decide to not buy the add-on. If it flops in Japan, it may not even leave the coutry. My thoughts on some of the games that were shown: Mario Tennis:I like Mario Tennis games, but I swear I thought that was Mario Power Tennis for GameCube. It's probably way too early in development, so I'll wait before I decide I want it. I wish Mario games had more freedom with their art, it's like they're recycling the same 3D models since the GameCube era, like Capcom did with their sprites for 2D fighters. It's games like Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi and Mario vs. DK the only Mario games that look different these days. I hope it has RPG-ish elements like the GBC Mario Tennis, and of course online play. Fire Emblem:I love how they're using sprites for the map, and 3D models for the battle scenes. The game looks great, way better than the Wii and GCN Fire Emblem games. Not too much to say about it other than, let's hope it makes it to America. Bravery Default:As awesome as this looks, I guess it's kind of a given that this won't ever leave Japan. Looks DQ-ish, and 3DS is kind of lacking on traditional Japanese RPGs. People are bashing the name, but I'm oblivious to it because I'm not a native English speaker Calciobit:This is also never leaving Japan. I'm not into soccer or soccer games, but this looks fun and charming. And it's a soccer management game, it sounds way better than an actual soccer game to me. Has zero chance of competing against stuff like FIFA over here, though.

Well, I'm not really interested in MH, and if I did I'd be willing to play it without the second circle pad. Does the second circle pad really makes a difference in MH games? I've never played one.

I don't get why people are that much against this.
It's just that, why would I buy it? The games that support it can be played without it (and I'm not really interested in any of them to begin with), without the need of the huge attachment that you can't really take outside and a AAA battery. I'd rather spend those $20 on the eShop.

I'll never buy one of those. Huge, impractical, AAA battery, ugly, and 100% optional.

A game constantly reminds you that it's just a game: you have to use a controller, you have to replay hard parts, there's often a HUD, you can jump around in time and the narrative by saving and loading games, the game world and the unfolding events often come to a complete halt until you've overcome a challenge, and so on.
This is something I personally love, I love when games are games and are okay with being games. Lifebars, power-ups, bosses, credits, I like that. I guess I don't play for immersion at all. And the original question: I completely agree with Peres, I like seeing the character I'm controlling. That's part of why I love fighters, there are tons of different characters to choose from, with different looks, movesets, personalities, etc. I don't feel like I'd be a good addition to the Street Fighter roster, so please let me pick a fun, interesting character instead.
