Yes, I just had one, and it was great.

There are the Savegame Extractor and Savegame Installer, but I haven't tried them.

Yes, you can't copy save files from games with online capabilities. It sucks, that's one of the reasons I didn't get a new Wii. I refuse to lose my Brawl and Mario Kart save files.
944  Player / General / Re: Console Friend Codes on: December 27, 2010, 03:24:42 PM
The Wii FC is only for your console, it means you can send messages, Mii, photos and other things to your friends. The game specific FCs are independent from that code. Yes, it's not what you'd call practical, but you have to register each code once and forget about it forever. As for Excitebots, I liked it but it was too my least favorite when I decided to trade it.

Wii: 1468 8733 5948 2633
Mario Kart Wii: 1504 6236 4198
Super Smash Bros. Brawl: 2664 1701 7051

I don't own Excitebots anymore, I traded it for Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon   Sad  I'll post DS codes later, there are way too many.

Intentional character tiers in fighting games.
This, absolutely. It's not like making a balanced fighter is easy anyway, deliberately avoiding balance is retarded. Worst offender: Dragon Ball Z games. It sucks when Krillin is your favorite character.

Yeah, I know that's not the only factor (as mentioned in the first post), but yes, people don't like Brawl in part because it lacks combos, and that's the main point of this thread. I just used this situation as an example, but wasn't really trying to discuss the lack of combos in Brawl, but their importance in fighting games in general. And I personally enjoy the combo oriented SSB64 and the ultra defensive Brawl.

Super Mario Galaxy 2, Dragon Quest IX and Super Street Fighter IV. Kirby's Epic Yarn is amazing but I just started playing it.

- Repaired Wii
- Kirby's Epic Yarn (YES!)
- A Boy and His Blob
- White PS3 slim
- Some clothes

I may buy some more Wii and PS3 games later this week, though. And maybe a red Wii, that thing won't get out of my head even if my Wii works now   Cry

Because god loves it.

Can you do what Nintendon't?
951  Player / General / Re: Ask someone a question! on: December 20, 2010, 10:39:02 AM
Either Super Mario Bros. 2, Pokémon Silver, Street Fighter II Turbo or Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Have you played a game for less than 3 minutes and decided you won't ever play it again?

Personally, I don't really care whether God exists or not and I don't see anything particularly wrong with believing in deities, higher powers or the supernatural. If people want to do that, let them.

I respect people's beliefs as long as my lack of beliefs are respected. But even if it doesn't affect me, I find it awful when people die because they believe praying is better than seeing a doctor, or reject a blood transfusion because of their religion. Also, the fact that religious people tend to see people without their same beliefs as less moral is kind of a big deal, they can't truly respect other beliefs if they truly believe in their religion. Yeah... I kind of respect you, but you're going to hell anyway.

You remember correctly (you'll need a GameCube controller, though). RE Zero is pretty awesome too.

I used to read Naruto around 2005-2006 if I recall correctly. It was okay, the fights were fun and there were several interesting characters. I really liked the whole 'chuunin exams' thing, I was craving for a Naruto fighting game at that time. But then I lost interest shortly after Naruto became older and most of my favorite characters faded into obscurity.

And as such, it doesn't have to explain anything. And it's completely independent from science, you can be an atheist and be 100% anti-science. It's just that a lot of us became atheists because we agree with science.

Aztec pizza probably had jalapeńos, therefore it is my deity of choice. Nothing personal against other pizzas, but still.

I only troll religion when religion trolls me. Example; I have this very devout Christian aunt who won't stop talking about her beliefs, ever. I don't have a problem with that, really. But one day she told me I'm good at school and addiction free thanks to the god she personally adores. See, that really pisses me off. And it's deliciously ironic because her Christian husband has huge issues with alcoholism.

Yes, even in Smash you have combos. It's just that the really low hitstun in Brawl makes normal combos practically impossible, unlike 64/Melee where there were plenty of 0% to death unavoidable combos. Which makes a lot of people believe Brawl is a worse game specifically because of this.
959  Developer / Design / Re: Are 'combos' the most important part of a fighting game? on: December 17, 2010, 06:10:12 PM
Yup, those basics are still used to this day. In traditional fighters. My original question was, does a game need combos to be considered a fighting game? to be considered competitive? Using Brawl as an example because it lacks normal combos (unlike the first two Smash games), and people also mentioned Bushido Blade. So, just like SundownKid said - jumping is a 'basic' of platformers, but that doesn't mean Bionic Commando is not one because it lacks jumping, and it doesn't mean it's not good (I really liked that analogy).

And for the record, the best KOF player in my city is also the best Brawl player. He loves both games, one being very combo heavy and the other one completely lacking this element.

I had a WWF/WWE wrestling game for GameCube, and I enjoyed creating my own wrestlers.

Do you like typical christmas food?
