So there will be a free and a premium version of the game? How about calling it "Sugar Kid Light"? It's still a reference to sugar content, but imo in a more positive way. Then the true "sugar lover" will want to buy "Sugar Kid - Premium Caries Edition"

For 3D dungeons I would try "rail/clip editing". You have basic tiles that allow the addition of other tiles at specific docking points. For corridors something like this might be a nice additional feature.

It seems like there's some circular reasoning going on with copyright law here. "What damage was done? They infringed on my copyright! What does copyright do? Protect me from damage!" If an action does no damage other breaking a law, then it seems illogical to me to have a problem with it. Law doesn't justify itself, it needs to have a purpose of actually protecting someone or something. His freedom to do the things the way he wants was damaged, man.

The easiest thing to do is add MochiAds, as it both makes it so you'll make a little bit of money when it's played, no matter where it is, and it gives your game a free layer of encryption, so that sites can't modify your game to strip out ads or add their own splash screen.
They added the splash via another flash object in another div-element, can MochiAds really technically protect against this? @ThemsAllTook: It's like republishing photos, does an ad sponsored newspaper harm me by using my private event photos from my blog for their stories? Yes, it violates my copyrights. Maybe xhunterko just doesnt want a shady page like v7games featuring his games (and profiting from them).

Use Flash. You can switch to HTML5 when HTML5 is the golden standard. I guess Adobe will release a AS3 to Javascript Converter when HTML5 is that far. So you probably even don't need to learn another language. When you want to use HTML5 you might want to look at http://createjs.com/

Looking at the swf-url tells me that they republish newgrounds content very often (probably in an automated fashion): http://s1.v7games.com/swf/en/newgrounds/20121022/147/43670.swfI think you should simply tell newgrounds about the page, if they don't know about this issue already... And yeah when you use something like MochiAds you want to spread your game all over the internet.

Developer / Creative / Re: THE PROBLEM WITH VIDEOGAMES, from the authorship perspective (by moi)

i think improvisation is always the first stage for a piece of art, improvisating game rules is hard to get right. as a result, i think, many games are at their core no products of art, but overused templates enriched with other forms of art. since creating game rules enriching art is hard enough, many games remain pure canvases for stories, visuals and sound. of course, this composition is art, but the gameplay behind it is usually not.
so when you want to create art games, focus on game rules. this is what differentiates games from books, movies and theatre.
the problem of game rules is that they are hard to mediate. when you create art you want to present your art to an audience. so most game makers will want to create art that is better to mediate first. this is in my opinion the problem of video games as an art form.
creating board/card games as art is easier, since the game rules are usually executed by the audience and thus much more present. the audience realizes the game rules as part of the experience. this is much more satisfying when creating game rules.
by the way i think there are two kinds of video games: games and virtual worlds: games focus on game rules. virtual worlds focus on immersion and a subtle as possible set of game rules that tries to mimic authentic real world rules.

When I was a kid, I had a book "Turbo Pascal & Delphi für Kids", that taught me, along with a club in school, the basics of programming. I think especially for young people Pascal is a very good learning language. Technically you can do anything with Object Pascal/Delphi you can do with C++. So "highend" graphics programming is of course also possible with ObjectPascal/Delphi.
Soldat, one of my all time favorite games is made with Delphi.
