Also, unrelated, can anyone recommend a good Dylan album? A friend of mine was affronted yesterday when I said I don't "get" Bob Dylan, so, feel like I should give him a try.
Bob Dylan, you ask?

Albums I'd recommend:
The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan - one of his first albums, pure folk music, awesome

Bringing It All Back Home - this is one of the albums he made as he made his transition into electric music. People were massively disappointed by this move, but I personally think it's brilliant.

Blonde on Blonde - Considered by many to be his best album. Great tracks on this one.

John Wesley Harding - Bob goes back to folk. I think this is my personal favourite.

Desire - Recorded in one day, together with a violinist Bob met walking down the street one time, I fucking love this album.

You will not be disappointed.

Very nicely done. Smooth lines! I'd have thought you'd drawn it digitally

Not so long ago, I did some blues soloing and recorded it

Youtube video

I still think it's shitty, but people really like it for some reason

I'm sorry Michael, but in order to play proper blues you need to make exaggerated facial expressions and dance with wide body sways. Examples in links below.

I did not see ANY dancing or ANY exaggerated facial expressions.  WTF

You have not yet seen me in my element  Noir

I have to add Bob Dylan to my list. His style of music contains so many of the aspects that I want to learn to play later as I develop my abilities

I've gotten to be quite curious as to what musicians really influence people in this part of the forum. Possibly the same as your favourite artist, who has done the most to influence your musical style? Youtube videos are encouraged

Me being a blues player, I look up to Buddy Guy (youtube link), one of the great legends in blues.

Then, of course, there's Pink Floyd. With incredibly complex and soulful compositions, they are definitely my favourite band. link

Please, post some.

Right now it's mostly blues I play, and some rock, though I'm very interested in going more in-depth in classical and metal.

The first one doesn't really have a convincing cheerful expression; nice outfit and good use of colour though

and i like the last one!

actually, a lot of the music there does allow commercial use (CC-BY 3.0 license.)

I'm registered as mediyama. Could you give me access to the off-limits boards?

JMickle, how about you? You still up for organizing?
375  Developer / Audio / Re: C418's new album is out. on: August 23, 2010, 04:26:35 PM
I don't see how people are not excited for this.  My Word!
376  Developer / Audio / Re: TIGAlbum? on: August 23, 2010, 02:34:29 PM
I'd be willing to help out with organizing this business (NOT on my own) + contributing music to this album. I say we get started organizing already

ACardboardRobot, could you put a list in your post with all the people who have said in this thread that they want to work on TIGAlbum?

Depending on how many people want to join, we could have multiple albums with different themes. Of course, there aren't a great too many musicians on this forum, so we'll see about that.
377  Developer / Audio / Re: Show us some of your music! on: August 23, 2010, 05:37:01 AM
wow. That has quite a cave story feel to it
378  Developer / Audio / Re: TIGAlbum? on: August 22, 2010, 02:31:59 AM
Well, give us a theme and I suggest we make our separate songs individually; let any participant unable or unwilling (hey, you never know) to write certain layers/parts of a song, or one who feels like joining forces, collaborate with other musicians.

oh yeah, and if i could join, that would be rad.
