One point I think a lot of people are overlooking is the potential for this console in markets that the current console cycle still hasn't tapped. It's an accepted fact that most home consoles get a lot of their hardware sales after the hardware dips below a certain price point. The Ouya is going to start off selling below that threshold. A budget-priced console actually stands a pretty good chance in the current economy. Get a version of Angry Birds on the thing and you're half-way there already.
Being from Brazil, the country where the Zeebo was launched and failed miserably with that exact same proposal: being a cheaper console for emerging countries. I can tell you that it doesn't work that way. Kids don't want any console, they want a console that can play God of War, Call of Duty, Pro Evolution Soccer and all the other games that their richer friends are playing and that they see on the TV and magazines. That's why the PS2 was selling more than the Zeebo over here.

It's impressive how it got the money so fast. But I can see this being forgotten 6 months from now, remember the GP32?
The idea of having a totally open console is nice but, I don't think indies are enough to keep it alive, unless Activision, EA and others show some support I don't see it going too far.
Also, even between indie devs, why would you make something exclusive for it? Since it uses Android already, why not make a phone/tablet version too? Or a PC version, which is also an open platform!

This should help games acclaimed by the community but rejected by Steam for some reason like Gemini Rue and Noitu Love 2 (I know, they were accepted the second time).
From what I understand, even if the game has a high rating, it's still up to Valve to decide if it's worthy or not to be on Steam. So, if a crappy game gets there by some rigged poll, Valve should reject it. With time I think Valve will figure a way to filter those earlier in the process.
Anyway, You'll probably need a Steam account to vote, which means having at least one game bought in your account, I don't think many people will buy a game just so they can vote more than once.

Valve just announced the "Steam Greenlight", with it, the public will be able to decide on which indie games should get a Steam release instead of just a dozen of guys at Valve: http://steamcommunity.com/greenlightThis should help some developers to get into Steam. I guess... What do you guys think?

I like the show, started watching it to see what the fuzz was all about and it's good. Very well animated and well written.
But yeah, I can't stand bronies and how they are so obsessed about this. It feels like someone started this thing as a joke and some people took it too seriously.

If the new Tomb Raider can be called just Tomb Raider, I don't see why the new Spelunky can't do the same.

Lemmings + Beat'em Up
One player has to take the Lemmings safely to the end of the level, while the other has to avoid that by beating all of them. Of course, new types of lemmings that fight should be there.

Explain to me why you think Team Meat's circumstances were lucky.
Except from Blow, both the Team Meat guys and Fish were already "indie game rockstars" that had an inordinate amount of free press, hype and visibility, which by today's standard is the most valuable currency to have. Releasing any game without anyone knowing often means failure, even if you're a tortured artist who spends his life obsessively picking details, so they basically had half of the work done by their own fame. They "just" had to finish the game and live up to the expectations to make a boatload of money, and that's a circumstance far more lucky than any I have been in That's not luck, they were "indie game rockstars" because of all the games they had already made and prizes won.
