Played Gitaroo Man on my PSP some years ago, one of my favorite rhythm games, so good to see people doing something different on the rhythm game genre.

Playing L.A. Noire, much better than I was expecting. I'm liking the "episodic" structure of the game, each case feels like an episode of a tv series and there are some smaller cases (usually just a quick chase) that don't break the flow like a lot of side-quests in other games, they fit right in like those scenes in House where he diagnose a patient in a single scene while there's a bigger case going on.
The only part I don't like is the interrogation, the face capture is pretty impressive but hard to read, simply because reading someone expression in real life is hard! Also, the the facial animation is so good that it gets creepy because the rest of the animation doesn't follow it.

Also, puzzles. Were there any in this game? The only time I remember getting stuck or having to think is when I had to figure out that you could stab those water fruits.
Stabbing the fruits.. that was a very clever use of the controls. I'm impressed how you find new ways to use your sword until very late in the game. In conclusion, it's a new zelda formula, it's great but would be more appropriate in a new franchise because zelda identity hold it back. If the game was named by any other name, it would be awesome
Nintendo should get all of their weird ideas that don't fit Zelda very well and make a new IP out of it.

if I wasn't a big Zelda fan I would probably have stopped playing before the 2nd dungeon.
+1. Sadly my Zelda-Freakness made me finish the game in 6 days I'm on my 6th day with 28 hours... and that's because I have a bunch of work to do. I finished TP when I had just left college, with nothing else to do, took me 4 days. Anyway, what should I do with Cawlin crying over Groose's bed?

28 hours in, 6 dungeons cleared... the game only starts to shine on Dungeon 3, when the time stones appear, they make for some awesome puzzles. From that point on the game becomes great. But it has a very slow start, takes more than an hour to get off the sky, if I wasn't a big Zelda fan I would probably have stopped playing before the 2nd dungeon.

Sorry to revive an old topic, but our company has 4,400 sq ft of office space and a great security system, 17 employees. But Nintendo rejected us with no reason specified. Just said 'try again in 6 months'. Anyone ever had that experience?
Do you guys have any games published? Anyone experienced? Only company I know that have a Nintendo license with no previous games is 2D Boy, but it was founded by ex-EA employees. I worked on a small company in Brazil that had a Nintendo license, it took around 2 years for it to get one.

Great selection of games, but I already had all the games on Steam.. except for Cave Story and Bit.Trip.Runner which I already had on WiiWare so I bought it anyway as a gift and gave everything to charity.

Mario and Zelda are safe, Nintendo has plenty of good developers that learned from Miyamoto and been doing most of the work in the last years.
Curious to see what he can do with smaller teams and more freedom.

Minecraft is the game I've played the most in the last 2 years and IMHO the most influential game developed in the last 2 (maybe 3) years. I think in the next years we're gonna see a lot of games cloning (already happening) and incorporating concepts from Minecraft. Like what happened right after Pokemon's success, for some time it felt like every game needed to have some kind of collectible creature! Congratulations notch! Now get back to work!

Start playing it yesterday and while it is more of the same, the game is so fast paced, with so much action that it's hard to stop playing it. Just like the other COD games, and Killzone and Gears and pretty much every AAA action game out there, this got me thinking that these games could make action movies obsolete in the next few years.
