Well I bet he's more fun to play now. But I still think it's kind of sad that the only way they could fix the ult was "turn it into a damage spell". Because almost every ultimate in this game is a damage spell.
I like DotA's ultimates more because they do all kinds of random shit. Dark Seer's ultimate puts a wall on the ground and any enemy passing through it creates an illusion that you control, Rubick's ultimate steals an enemy spell and turns it into your spell, Night Stalker's ultimate simply creates a period of night in which his abilities are stronger etc. In League, most champs ultimate is a "spell that deals more damage than your other spells."
those all sound really cool. I do wish Riot would try ults more in that vein.

Ah gotcha.
Always funny to see an Annie unload all her abilities and just stand there.

Again is Cing's last game. Idk if it ties in with the Hotel Dusk storyline (I think not) but it got pretty terrible reviews so I didn't import (I'm in Europe).
tbh I bought it based off hotel dusk 215. IIRC I read it was a sequel somewhere so I got it without even thinking to look up reviews. Will let you guys know how it is once I get through it.

If you liked Hotel Dusk, you'll like Last Window just as much.
whaaa? I never knew this existed. I thought Again was the sequel to Hotel Dusk. How does Again fit into the storyline? Gonna have to start tracking down a copy.

I'd also like to +1 on Hotel Dusk. For a gloomy character like Kyle Hyde it's incredible how much power his smile has in the rare moments he does so. Totally not homogay though.
By the way, is the sequel worth it? I never see anyone talking about it.
I have it but have been waiting for a whole day or 2 where I can just play the game in one or 2 sitting. That looks like it's coming up very soon Still need to play hotel dusk again to get the other endings.

Yeah I agree. I tried Skarner a few times during the free week and just stopped because every build felt like an inferior version of someone elses build.
Let us know if they give you the refund.

Wow I wish I knew about this years ago. I've had this problem come up so many times when working with others engines. Never guessed that it was the way PNG was being compressed causing these issues.

+1 again on Godhand. I love that game.
Besides that Demons Souls by From Software. 2 years now and I'm still addicted to it.
If you are trying to learn Japanese with a text heavy game then look at Cing's games. Hotel Dusk 215 is one of my favorite portable games of this gen. Great game.

Just bought Olaf too. He's also one of those champs that's really fun to play. Every time he's in heavy melee with low health it's a gamble to see if that AS boost on his passive is gonna put him over the top.

two of my favourites were Vampire Masqurade and Arcanum. Both made by the same team (RIP ) They may not be ground breaking but they were awesome.

I recommend you read up on this. And, for the love of baby jebus, don't use Flash or any ridiculously fancy Javascript because that stuff will just annoy the crap out of people. :< Keep it simple. Thanks, this link helps a lot. One thing though... I study and work as a programmer. I'm not looking for a job as an artist, but I thought a portfolio would be a nice thing to have, because I do art as a hobby. I can also put self-made games in my portfolio, as I often do all the music + art + code. Now that I've read your article, I'm in doubt... Is a portfolio really useful for me? Should I keep showing my art, or do I need to show only my games? Maybe I could find an other way to show my "art-oriented" mind (blog?), while keeping a game-only portfolio? It's def hard to categorize. I broke mine up into "Game Development" and "Programming" as 2 sections that cover programming. For art there is "level design" and "arch rendering". There is a lot of crossover, I still need to keep refining that but it's worked so far (gotten a few jobs/job offers). Also I prefer to do my site in traditional CSS/XHTML and just embed the wordpress into the news page.

Yeah that is one of those really cool concepts that I'm not sure I have the skills to micromanage correctly.
I'll def give the demo a shot.
The one on steam is a different Archon though.
