That first design I posted earlier was designed on the spot, but today I drew up the designs for almost all the others. Do you think I should show those off, or keep them a surprise for when you find them in the game?

Taking some time aside to work on something in the game that's been suggested to me before. Finally thought of a way to make it work correctly, and I've already got the sprites done for one of them, shown here.

There's very little one could actually critique about this, though something in me would like to recommend picking one anime style and going with that.

There's two shots where the characters look Cave Story/Disgaea (simple line eyes, unshaded hair), others that give me a 90's Gunsmith Cats-ish vibe, and one where you seem to have a *real* old-school Heidi style going on.
It's a really nitpicky thing to point out, and I might just be missing a clever meta-joke, but in case you're not set on these images yet, I'd humbly suggest considering it...

I'm not really sure what you mean, Miguelito. Maybe it helps if I explain those screenshots a bit better. The first two on top are from a cutscene, the next one down on the left is the game's shop, the next one is gameplay, cutscene, and then the last three are all gameplay. Some points in the game have faces and things like that in the background, and they're not meant to be taken at face value. The farther along into the game you go, the more surreal the backgrounds can get.

I do my best at making the sprites in gameplay all have the same sort of style, but at the same time, some enemies are meant to look out of place, due to their nature.

As usual, I can't actually show much that I've been working on due to it all being spoilers and bonus stage things.
But, I just got around to fixing this up:

I've been thinking of putting a little dancing character somewhere on this screen to liven it up a bit, what do you think?

Work might be slowed for a while, though, since I've gotten myself sick again.

Ahh, yes, I've noticed the pause thing. I don't know exactly why it does that, but I'll be working on fixing it.
