Does anyone else think the first hole looks painted on? o_O Especially the cracks or whatever they are on the wooden shutters...

I don't care for Mario 3D. Im thinking it will just be more of the same Mario Ive seen in the Galaxy series with the addition of 3D features that I wont care for in the end. Zelda was guaranteed to give a slightly different experience.

Im quite shocked reading these posts. Out of the first three bosses, I found the first boss to be hardest, third boss to be incredibly easy/quick to kill... also thought he was the most obvious in terms of battle tactics...

I actually hate the harp playing feature. Sometimes it will work easily, no problem, other times its just shitty.

I am totally enjoying the crap out of this game (finally got my preordered copy in the mail last night.)
I do find the dialogues a touch verbose though, not sure why you can't skip them super fast like you used to be able to especially if you've already read them once. Discourages talking to people more than once.
Also I threw the headmasters cat off the edge of the skyloft islands because it was pissing me off at night not sure if I should feel bad about that.
it will just fly back...

"Then why not go that extra mile and make him talk? It seems like a strange compromise to make."
Because there would be thousands of anal fans who disagree with his accent, the way he talks, or the fact that he's talking at all.

Im enjoying it but Ill agree on the cutscenes so far. My friend is way ahead of me (7-8 hours) and he said it calms down. Hope he's right.
As for characters being deep.. I dunno, I think with the facial animations Ive seen quite a lot of emotions so far for a Zelda game. One thing I really like are Link's facial animations.
