@Jackwhat Well, actually I just filled shapes from photo first and then shaded them just by looking into original. The reason I'm doing that atm is to get more familiar with digital painting to speed up the process enough. My main barrier atm is digital workflow so I figured this would be fastest way to learn it and only later focus on other aspects of painting,

You can open it from valley of Drakes side with key you find near the top of the wooden structure in Blighttown just before you enter valley of Drakes.

Yeah, developers aren't exactly the largest user base. Also, even though the computing will go to tablets & similar devices, it might still hold some possibilities for desktop like usage. Lately Apple has promoted its Airplay where things can be streamed to TV. In future if I want to code on big screen, I just drop my tablet beside me and it connects to keyboard and monitor via wifi.
Biggest issues with tablets etc. at the moment is power management and computing power, but there is already promising technologies on the horizon which will likely solve these problems.

Looks gorgeous! Don't have much to say, though the UI being blue causes it to blend into background perhaps a bit too much. I think you could make it pop out a bit more. Another thing is those buttons(?) on left. Perhaps it is just because I haven't played this and don't know what they are for, but their icons are a bit "messy". Difficult to distinguish.
As for game, I really liked E.V.O. so looking forward of this. However, I hope you decide to add some more alien life-forms than fishes since you aren't tied to Earth's evolutionary history. Same with environments.

I'm looking for information and experiences on how people handle taxes with Flash game licenses. I'm aware that this probably isn't best place to ask about it but unfortunately I have had hard time finding much information about how it works in most cases.
I'm living in Finland so if anyone from here has worked with FGL, I'd really like to hear how they did it. People from other countries are fine too to share information though since I can apply it to my specific circumstances.
I'm mostly confused on what kind of income FGL licenses would be perceived and if I could do it without registering company.

Currently going through The Design of Everyday Things.
That's a very good book. I got Emotional Design as a Christmas present and looking forward to read it too. I didn't even realize he had a line of books, I'II definitely look more into his work once I've finished off The Design of Everyday Things. Norman is pretty much guru in field of usability along with Nielsen and their names got very familiar in my university courses about usability and user-centric design. And not for vain, their guidelines etc. are very good basis for designing products and software.

I don't quite understand what you mean by confusing here. Mostly technical details and workflow. Just didn't understood how I "should" use digital tools, (compare to how you have to learn how to mix acrylic or water colors and how to apply them to the canvas to get desired effect). In programming terms learning the "syntax" I guess Even though true skills come only with practice, I always prefer to look first into theory and read how I "should" use new tools (in this case utilize digital tools in their full extent) since it seems faster and more efficient for me. After I get basics down I can start dabbling and experimenting. Anyway, I looked into some blending videos and think I understood the process in theory and did some preliminary experiments.

2001: A Space Odyssey has aged beautifully because of its use of practical effects. Watching it on Blu-Ray, it's hard to tell that it was made in the 60s.
Yeah, when I saw 2001 first time it was actually hard to comprehend that some of the scenes were practical effects rather than CGI. Floating pen was also clever trick with glass panel. Also, this has some cool effects: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRrZXNNBMUY

I recently read Arto Paasilinna's Lentävä kirvesmies ("The Flying Carpenter"). I found it very funny. It was about a bronze age Finnish man named Ronkoteus, who builds flying vehicle which is carried my White-tailed Eagles and flies around Europe and Middle-East doing all kinds of silly stuff.
At the moment I'm reading Paasilinna's Suomalainen kärsäkirja ("Finnish Snoutbook"), which tells about girl and her elephant who do circus tricks in Siberia and try to find living in Finland where EU has banned elephants and other animals from circuses etc. So far not as funny as carpenter, but still pretty absurd.

You don't have to install almost any driver in Linux. Most of the things are already there when you install the system. And the installation of graphic drivers is offered right at the first launch and is fully automatic. In Windows, you have to download everything manually from the net or insert a disk with drivers and slowly click through all the Next, next, next and it takes ages. To be fair, each and every time I have installed Linux on some of my machines has involved extensive Googling, manual driver installations, scouring internet for required command line spells, figuring out why internet connection or sound doesn't work like they should etc. At least many Linux installations for many notebooks isn't really straightforward in my experience. Installing on desktops is probably easier though.
