Reminder: Talking about KodoHmm I may have an idea. How about when they appear, they first fall to ground and there their arrows appear quickly scrolling through the 4 directions. After a second the scrolling stops, and they lunge towards that direction (If they lunge upwards, it's like a jump. They can/should only lunge downwards if on a Ghost platform, and all the time gravity acts on them) then slide to a stop. Then, once they're not moving anymore and on a platform, they repeat the process two more times before disappearing. If anyone touches one, it eats you and keeps you inside until it makes the final movement, finally spitting you out. I figure it should damage anyone inside it every few fractions of a second. Also one person can be in 1 kodo at a time. Edit: Oh never mind, I was thinking they were going to be TIG Box characters. (Duh read the title me. )

Use boxmen idea:
If there's enough AI to support it, the character runs around the stage making copies that either run in a different direction, (usually off the screen), stand still for a while, jump somewhere etc. and if a character touches one they get a bit of knockback. Depending on how fast they run, this could be a stage-controlling tigboxer, or even just something to liven the match up. It would be interesting to watch, with boxmen flying everywhere, and fun to avoid, attempting to predict the movement of the main boxman.
The only problem is with coding it's AI, because it would probably have to "see" where it can jump to to prevent it from just appearing then falling off the stage a second later.

what if they appear only on scrolling stages to make things easier to code? they can run on horizontal scrolling stages and jump on vertical scrolling stages =D

err i don't remenber well but i think Canabalt runner will be on game right? well (if i remember well) he's going to be like a weaker version of Runman and that's okay but how about making the screen shake really hard while he's on the screen? plus he could hit a giant bomb at the end causing a flash on the whole screen

Hey I know we have enough ideas flowing in all day, but eh, there's no harm in suggesting if you don't persist, right?
Immortal Defender: I'm thinking like a silhouette of a man, but looks like cutout of the background in Immortal Defence. Or maybe he can be a sort of liquid-y apparition like Arakune is BB. He cold have the mouse pointer buzz around him shooting things or he could make his feet turn into those twin towers that shoot between each other. Immortal Defence has a tonne of interesting towers to turn into attacks.

That's why Immortal Defense is going to be a stage.

Yeah. The Path Defender would make a great support character (and I believe he was on the roster at some point), but the points all seemed like they would make such great hazards, that a stage just seemed more appropriate.

How about Bunny from Bunny Must Die? She jumps in the air once or twice and throws knives every which way.

Sounds okay to me. I'm generally pretty open to support characters. As long as someone is willing to put the effort into the animation, it takes little effort to add them to the game.

This is just a suggestion from someone with little to no talent in making sprites, but how come no one has ever thought of Li as a support character? He could appear, fire some energy bolts in cardinal directions (perhaps homing!) and then vanish.
Would make more sense than the Nautilus at least.
Edit: Another idea. You could always get Notch's permission and include a Creeper. Because who doesn't like sudden explosions?

How about IWBTG's Kid? Runs in, shoots low-damage projectiles at everyone, dies if he touches any hostile or hazard or gets shot or...well, dies if pretty much anything happens?
