So I knit from time to time. Started out as a way to keep my fingers occupied when watching movies and stuff as I get kind of restless if I'm not fiddling with anything, and it doesn't require your eyes or much of your attention. Also, it's healthier than eating popcorn. Anyway, a while back I figured I was going to do depictions of indie game characters. Started posting a few of them in the "Today I created..." thread, although I am hereby creating my own thread for it. Feel free to comment and feel very free to come with suggestions for new stuff for me to do First off, the Crasher socks. These were rather small. Second, the Gomez socks. Slightly larger and more thought-through. After that, I got tired of making socks and did this here Gish hat, it took a lot longer to knit than the socks and consumed a lot more yarn. Some Quote & Curly socks. They use quite a few colors compared to the other characters so they did not turn out as well, sadly. ... Stay tuned. That's just awesome. As for potential subjects: how about TSH characters?

Oh man, I love that Gish beanie so much! Expression is perfect. Do you wear it out?

Hmm, I haven't seen that much of the pixelart from it but I think I am going to hold off doing small characters with many (5+) colors for awhile, it is kind of tricky. I do love Annabelle's style, though, and if I keep this up I'm definitely doing something of hers at some point in time. I would like to do something Aquaria- related but I can't think of anything iconic and recognizable about it that easily converts to a knitting pattern... Intriguing. I might, at some point in the future. Right now, the bother of administrating it seems a bit too much for selling three pairs of socks, and I do not want to make money off this in the first place. Besides, I am not sure they are good enough to charge money for. Oh man, I love that Gish beanie so much! Expression is perfect. Do you wear it out?
I do, actually. The expression gets kind of stretched when worn - but the beanie is dual-layered and very warm, which is great considering the snow we've had; ... It is the only thing I've made that I'm using myself, actually.

Is there a secret to making the knit-transitions so uniform? Every time I change colors/yarns I end up with it either being too tight or too loose. To the point that mostly all I knit are "bar" designs. [bloop]

Hmm, not really - I tend to wrap the other-color yarn around the primary one every stitch for as many stitches as possible both before and after using the color, and I try to be very careful when attaching the yarn to avoid stretching it. But I'm not very good at that either, it just does not show very well in the pictures.

Thanks people Another cap, this one with the Weak Point symbol from Shadow of the Colossus. Kind of far-fetched and not very indie, I just thought it'd make a decent design.

Figured out something Aquaria-related to do. These took longer to knit due to the constant yarn swapping.
