I had too much fun with it not to post it here:
http://maxandthemagicmarker.com/demo/

It's essentially Crayon Physics Deluxe mixed with a typical platformer, so for me it was somewhat similar to Trine. And probably even more fun than that. It's great how many possibilities for different constructions there are. Also, note how the sound effects (running, jumping) are synced with the music, and how that changes.
It's coming out over WiiWare in a week, no releases for other platforms are currently planned. Damn, I want a Wii right now.

Nice trailer, too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91OdEu2xgbQ

[edit]
As the title says, it is now out on WiiWare as well as the PC! Get the full version here: http://maxandthemagicmarker.com/shop/

Ah, that was fun. It's a real shame there's no PC release.

I was quite surprised by this. Too bad if it there's never going to be a full PC or browser version. :/

It looked quite fun but it crashed my browser when I drew a line on top of the bad guy.

So looking at their blog it looks like the January 22 release date is only for Europe, AUS and New Zealand.

it's quite annoying how being hit once causes death in this game. otherwise, good concept but not enough to hold my attention for more than 15 minutes.

Aha, so the official FAQ is lying, Max & the Magic Marker is in fact coming to the PC! It's said to be released Europe-wide by The Games Company in spring, and more precisely I've heard about a release in March. Rejoice! Smiley
I'd provide a source, but all I can find is German news about the TGC press release. But, that news is only from yesterday, so I guess there is going to be more info shortly.

From what I've read it's at least coming to several countries in Europe, so I doubt it's only Germany.
