Funny, I was at a frozen lake marveling at the oddity of the sounds it produced just a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to record it but I don't really have anything that can record stuff.

Wow, I was very much not expecting that... it sounded like a motion synth from my Korg as opposed to the typical ice SFX we're used to.  Pretty amazing.  I also liked the "frost pattern" piece he created with it... very pleasing to my ears; but then again, I love sounds related to water.
