Molleindustria is definnitely underappreciated here.
They have some crazy games, they practically invented shock games before shock games became hip. They're indier than most indies.

Oh BTW I just know their games by reputation, never played one, that's how awesome they are.
I suppose they're not hip enough for the frontpage though?

They're hip as hell. Try them. I played almost them all, some are really shocking.

There's an "indie games need to be art" debate going on the internet these days. Well, la Molleindustria's achieve where others failed in this respect, I tell you.

Oh, Paolo Perdercini was teaching a class on game design at Carnegie Mellon Univeristy's school of fine arts... I don't think I actually ran into anyone who took his class so I'm not sure what it was like, and now I've graduated so it's too late for me to take it.  But to be honest I really don't like his other games that's I've played, like Faith Fighter or the Pedopriest game... I think they just got most of their attention based on the fact they were so controversial.  But I did like this game, a lot more subtle.

Yeah, as I said to McQuiggan:

I get the feeling he's also always either angry or fanboyish in his articles because he doesn't know any other way to attract readers. You know, stuff like well written, interesting articles with informed opinions. That is a bit beyond his intelect.

ZP is at least amusing. I also get the feeling that Jimmy wants to be taken seriously, while Yahtzee just wants to make us laugh. How successful he is at that is a matter of debate though.

Plus Yahtzee made some awesome adventure games so that always puts him a few points higher in my book. Tongue

Oh, sorry, I wasn't referring to Yahtzee - he's cool. The thing I was going for was that it seems like a lot of gaming journalists are trying to copy him, and instead end up looking snide and overtly sarcastic.

Like Jimmy.  Giggle

There were times in this game where it was beautiful, but it was mainly boring. I believe it was intentional, though.

Very nice, very nice.

wow, great game, thanks for the link  Hand Thumbs Up Left
but i got to admit, i'm a strange guy and i prefer those kind of games over any fastpaced games anyway, so i can understand when someone says it's not his cup of tee. i, for my part, was fully entertained. i like the music. music is important here.

now i wonder, is their a library for "artgames" ?
