This was a nice magazine. It was humorous and well put together. Even though it had many jokes, I thought it seemed quite professional. Good job!  Wink

I actually stopped here. There are many things I have to read that don't 'jokingly' insult me on every page.

I just checked it out, because I like the idea of a periodical covering indie games and a community. However, unfortunately I wasn't at all fond of the writing style, the humour, and I generally felt that it did little to try to include me. The humour isn't witty either, so it just isn't funny.

It's a shame really, because I totally miss the 'zine' scene for games.

Issue 3 is pretty good.
I particularly enjoyed the article entitled "The Art of Design: General Tips", because it contained some simple steps that anyone could follow to help improve the look of their game, even if visual art isn't their forte.
Also, the Comp05 section pointed out some interesting games that I didn't even know about since I couldn't follow that compo very closely; I'm going to download and give some of them a shot now. Smiley

Keep up the good work.

Another great issue. I enjoyed the articles and reviews. Although, that screenshot of Paper Dreams looked pretty bad. Lips Sealed

Those comp05 games have some pretty nice potential. Ninjammin Beat-Jitsu was especially awesome.

The comic at the end was great.  Big Laff

Now I shall wait for issue 4.

Your wait is finally over. Smiley

I've decided to bring back OverByte, complete with 6 articles (one of which is an interview) and 3 game reviews. This is the first issue in which there are more articles than reviews, mainly because I didn't feel like reviewing anything!

The issue is available for download via the OverByte website or at Box.net.

The "Download File" link on the OverByte site may or may not seemingly download a corrupted PDF. It isn't as easy to fix as simply reuploading the file (I've tried and had others try for me), so it is an issue with the server or my code I assume. As I'm planning to make a new website in the near future, I'm not even going to try to fix it anymore than I've already tried.

So if the PDF is corrupted, please download it from the Box.net mirror.
