Heh. I tried this song 'n' dance last year. I have an awesome space in Providence I can guarantee (has a stage & projector), but everyone was angling for New York. Nobody wants to go to Providence it seems.

In all cases, you could count me in!

I'd be up for it. I'm in PA, so it's not crazy to think of getting around there.

I was thinking of going to GameLoop in Boston in August. That would be a convenient time for me.

Also I have friends in PA I haven't seen in forever.

Ah, something like GameLoop sounds interesting. Sadly, "This time around, we want to keep it to game industry professionals only. Artists, programmers, designers, producers, QA—hell, even executives are welcome. As much as we love students and academics and aspiring game developers, this is for pros, past and present, only. If you really have no idea whether you qualify as a pro, you can always ask us." Not sure how many people this would include in the indie space, considering many indie devs aren't considered "industry professionals," even if they are accomplished in the space.

Oh god if there only was a jam in Providence! God damn! I'm in the south right now, but I'm originally from New Hampshire and have connections throughout New England who would help me out.

But yeah, the best time for me would be in the fall because I'm going up there with my father anyway to help finish moving our stuff down here. But no matter when it happens (if it does) then I'm game.

Seems like Providence and PA are the frontrunners. The space I can offer is the AS220 performance space. It's not huge but there's a bar and a cafe in the same building, there's a video projector and a banging soundsystem, room for a good 40 or 50 people. I somehow doubt we'll get that many. I'd have to book it a good 2 months in advance, but I'm guaranteed the space with enough warning. They have a policy about not playing any registered music, so we can only play unsigned stuff, public domain stuff, self-composed stuff, or Creative Commons. Most chiptunes would fall under that classification though, and we've got all the equipment for people to play live if we want.

Does anyone have a space in PA? I've been meaning to see Philadelphia for a while...

That sounds like a pretty sweet space, Peevish.

Harrisburg University (in, uh, Harrisburg) might be down in letting us use some space. I know they've done a sort of jam before. They made a new campus somewhat recently that's pretty sweet. If anyone would even be willing to do it in Harrisburg...

The Peevish space seems cooler, though. Any thoughts on doing it in Rhode Island, anyone?

That space in Providence sounds nice. I live in Maine, so I should be able to make it to RI no problem.

I'm in CT now, and I know Providence well (I went to Brown!) Also, my wife's mom lives right outside Philly. So basically, I have connections all over New England, and would be down.

Word.

Im down for anywhere in PA( or Providence), and August would be awesome.  I was sad that the last attempt for this failed.  I think Ivan lives in New York city so I assume he would be interested in attending too.

I'd be in, and willing to help out in whatever way I could. August would probably be fine.
