The caravan sounds very interesting.  I live in Ames, so I'd need to find a way over to Chicago in the first place.  But color me interested.

<-- My E-mail is over there.

EDIT:  I still haven't booked a hotel room.  Might look into Park Plaza.

EDIT 2:  Christ, that's expensive.  Anyone interested in splitting a room?

EDIT 3:  Never mind, found a HI hostel.

For the record, I'm going but I'm still knew to tigs.
It will be my first Pax!  Big Laff

there needs to be a game event in nyc/nj area, boston is too far
And Boston is not very far away From Nj/NJ... when you consider that it's the closest gaming con available.   Even if it was closer it would be in the Javits Center. No one can afford hotels near the Javits Center so that's not going to happen. Bus rides to cons like these are full of online gaming, so it's not even an annoying trip.

Long-distance bus rides starting from $1.50. You're welcome!

Also, for those of us in New England, New York is often too far to travel and there's really nothing else going on outside of Boston.

Might well do!

Schedule's up: http://east.paxsite.com/schedule.php

I'm probably going to so many panels I'll barely get any gaming in.

I actually really want to see that'n, so yes indeedy! Been hanging onto a Kickstarter invite for a while, haven't used it yet. Would be good to know what I'm in for. Plus I'd love to hear Plotkin talk.

I'd love to hop on the caravan just for the experience, but my current plans are hitching a ride with a friend from Cincinnati to Boston. Are there any plans to do a game jam of sorts during the weekend? I'd totally be up for supplying some impromptu art.

It'd have to be evenings-only, apparently the laptop space for PAX East is already booked up solid. And there are so many panels I want to go to I wouldn't have many daylight hours to develop. But my lappy's back from the shop and putting something simple and collaborative together in the evenings sounds fun. Who needs sleep?

Heck, if our group's small enough we could just hole up in somebody's hotel room. Energy drinks are all we need to survive!
