It looks really good, and I'm really digging the sound effects et al, but man is Michael Cera way too nice in those clips. Totally not how I imagined Scott speaking, but I guess that's why it's called an adaptation.

Never read the books. Hate Michael Cera. But trailer is beyond awesome. Will definitely read/watch.

Also, two of the exes are the Superman and Captain America. That is weird.

I haven't been that excited for a movie in YEARS. A great director, a wonderful cast, based on an extraordinary, charming, fun, original comic... It's ALREADY blowing my mind.

From the trailer, I get a sense of high quality polish on every scene. The effects, the sound effects, everything's just blown out of proportion. Look at this still from the trailer, when Scott punches one of the evil exes - It's probably one frame or two, between intense flashes of light, but this level of detail in the effects is what makes everything pop so much.



We also see great stuff from the comic that I was wondering if they were going to keep, like the enemies turning into coins when defeated, River City Ransom style! It's AWESOME!

Did I mention I'm freaking EXCITED?!

I love how they translated a lot of the gags to the screen- The little meter in Scott's head when he "Gets It" made me laugh. I do wonder how it's going to play out, though- they said the books are going to end differently from the movie.

I have nothing against Cera, but I never understood what was all the hoopla about arrested devellopment. This show sucked.
