Must be logged in to view the forum page. What, pretty graphics? My guess is "a usable interface" and assorted bugfixes dominate the list.

im so fucking sick of discussing df's interface and the merits of ascii gfx in every single thread about the game on tigsource. just had to get that off my chest.
anyway, the top 3 on the voting are improved hauling, standing production orders and faster pathfinding.

For instance, I believe pathfinding still doesn't consider Z levels, so a material 100 levels down is considered close to a dwarf. Or how you can't choose what materials to make stuff out of. If you want a door made from a specific type of rock, you have to lock the dwarf in a room with only that material.

concerning the new version. first I see this: (it's raining elf blood in an evil biome. seriously.) then this: this pretty much rekindles my interest in this game.

Dwarf Fortress is great because the more work Toady does on it, the more apparent it becomes that it is an alpha.
Regardless, he is makIng the game he wants and nothing else, and that is respectable.

As much as I love DF, I like reading about other people's games more than playing it myself. I wonder if Goblin Camp is still in development? I liked a lot of the ways they were improving on DF's user experience.

nobody commented on how separating citizens / pets / other / dead in the unit screen just made everything already a lot easier? small giant steps these are
DF is great and it just keeps become greaterer. I dont touch it for a few months and then bam a bunch of new things, and then more again!!
some weird things with migrants being mostly useless though, for this release
adequate somethings and okay with a weapon, and some rare really goods at something

You'll be pleased to know that that has just been updated. It's only been a couple of hours, so the thread title hasn't been updated on Google yet. (Thread's here to save your time)
