Hi folks, Just wanted to let you know about the 5th annual Toronto Indie Game Jam coming up in a few weeks... http://www.tojam.caDateApril 23 - 25 LocationGeorge Brown College located in the Autodesk building 210 King St. East (near King & Sherbourne) Toronto, Ontario We are just in the process of getting the registration form setup along with full details about the event. UPDATE!! - April 9th: Registration form is live! Reserve your space now! For now please do check out the site for details on previous jam events for what you can expect. Until then please scroll down for a high energy overview of some of last years games! 87 people created 37 games. Some were even good... nay... GREAT! This year's theme was "Scale", whatever that means. Ubisoft just announced they're opening an office in Toronto, I'm unsure if they can handle this brilliance. Discriminating TIGers will enjoy: SCALEThe world shrinks and expands, but you stay the same size. It's amazing. Category 5It rocks like a hurricane. Spinning Mouse meets Katamari. LockpickNo graphics. No sound. Only touch. An enigma. Pipes in SpaceTIGers have a well known soft spot for B-Games - this game delivers. Bloat!Super Cute! Neat gameplay! Uses Flash so you can play right now. Steam PonkIngenious Nintendo DS game, and the real reason to own an R4. 2 Player Pong variation with fantastic pixel art and compelling gameplay. The best part? Both players hold one DS while playing. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Cheese-ohol 2 again. It features Beer-Motes! Thankyou for not hating us!

Cool. I actually live not so far from there. It's probably an hour drive or so from where I live. I might consider checking it out, but no guarantees.

This is the Ludum dare weekend Doh. Well.... what if I told you there would be free food at TO Jam. Does Ludum Dare have that? And does it have prizes? Any does it have wacky antics? I rest my case.

I've been meaning to make my way down for the To Jam's as I'm from down there, but unfortunately I don't have cheap and reliable transportation.

The part that is bonus funny to me is that The Dirty Rectangles were going to have one of the Blast Programming weekends that weekend, but we decided to move it up a week to avoid other compos!

That part sounds fishy to me. Fishy nothing. Listen... when it comes down to it TO Jam has goat on a pole. That's really all you need to know. You think I'm joking? No seriously. Click the link. Goat on a pole. Dig it.

Oh, no worries. We have our goat quota covered as well. Not just some clever internet jpeg, oh no sir, Ludum Dare co-organizer Phil actually has a pet goat (Cuzco). But it's not only about a goat; What takes this story from ordinary to extraordinary is that the goat comes equipped with a GOAT CART! Seriously, Goat Cart. Nothing tops that! Muhaha!

hey does anyone who's going have a car with room in it and is from the Montreal area because i'd be the kind of guy to go and pay a big chunk o' gas and provide a refreshment or two (i actually don't drink alcohol but then you're driving but then you're gonna be not driving for the week-end so if you really insist i'll buy you a fucking beer or two)
'cuz i'd like to do this but i'm the kind of guy that may or may not have a car (if you have selected #2 YOU WIN the prize is giving me a ride to TOJam i'm a fun guy so it's a prize)
EDIT: I just noticed some guy, Zaknafein, called Renaud Bédard posted in this thread and lives near montréal, Renaud if you have a car man let's ride together let's do this, we are both Renauds it is a victorious name EDIT X: i just realized you're the guy who works with Phil Fish and i know Phil Fish indirectly like through 1 degree of personthing, like i know people who know him and put his comics in the paper when he was still relevant to our college so it is like i would be an old friend except you don't really know me at all but it is cool in a way

Seriously, Goat Cart. Nothing tops that! We may have been out-goated... but Anna can take GirlFlash in a fair fight.
