Name: Jeremy Sim
Skills offered:
I can cover a wide range of game fiction writing roles: world construction, plot, storyboarding, character design, dialogue, quest text, etc. Non-fiction roles I can assume are tooltip writing, documentation, and editing. I'm meticulous, have good non-cliched ideas, and can guarantee a very low rate of spelling and grammatical errors in my work.
Expected compensation:
I strongly prefer game projects that are reasonably close to completion and offer pay (either hourly or by contract is fine). I'm willing to compromise on either dimension if I like the project, so please send all project offers even if you can't pay.
Experience:
B.A. in Linguistics and Computer Science from UCLA High familiarity with fantasy/sci-fi narrative conventions Multiple short stories and a novel in progress Two-time Quarter-finalist in Writers of the Future competition Graduate of Orson Scott Card's selective Literary Boot Camp 2005
Other information:
I'm located in the Los Angeles, CA area, so if your project is based here, it might be good to meet in person.
I'm willing to do additional work in QA or Design if you need your writer to fill more of a multipurpose role. I have a very high tested IQ and I know a lot about games, so I may be able to provide valuable support to a smaller project team with more room to grow.
Please don't hesitate to contact me for any reason -- I try to answer all my emails and at the very least, we can have a good chat. I'm very friendly and approachable despite the austere tone of this post. =) I genuinely do want to contribute to your game and meet more people involved in the game development field.
Contact information:
Please contact me through email, at jeremy_sim [at] hotmail [dot] com. I will also monitor this thread for responses. Please include as much information as you can in your email about your project; for example how many people are on your team, the role you want me to fill, and what compensation you can offer. Links to websites or screenshots are also appreciated.
Thanks!
- Jeremy
