It's got some SecuROM bullshit that's clogging up the works and crashing the game. Also, the texture filtering is so awful, you might think vaseline is smeared all over your monitor.
Seriously, it's really *really* poorly ported. I wish I could have my $5 back, honestly.

Shame, I was about to buy it.
If it's really that bad I'm pretty sure they'll whip up a patch though.

I can't think up many worse ways of ruining a $5 port of a low-res pixelart game than SecuROM and texture filtering. That's mental.

Why would you put texture filtering on pixel art.
Doesn't that... you know, defeat the point of pixel art?

Superbrothers does it, and it looks delicious.

They antialias manually but thats different from a linear/aniso texture filter, the latter will give a more smudged effect and take away the "blockiness" of the pixel art. EDIT: Another way to describe it is that texture filtering is concerned with the resolution of the screen rather than that of the texture, so a 32x32 sprite at 4x zoom is treated as 128x128 pixels and will try to get individual colors for those pixels. The Superbrothers antialiasing works at the sprite's 32x32 resolution.

That sucks. I don't want to get it for iPod Touch and I don't want to buy a DSi now that the 3DS was announced ;_;

Meh, I got it for iPhone instead. It's dirt cheap and the majority of Toucharcade forum members says the controls are workable. Have yet to try it though.

Securom on a Steam game?
Isn't that like locking a door with a combination lock and a key lock, when you know perfectly well that if someone really wants to get in, they'll use the window?

They're going about it the wrong way, they should release it through Steam without SecuROM then later on release DLC with SecuROM.
