STALKER.

Aw yea!

My dad used to work around where they filmed breaking trough the cordon part at the beginning of the film. One of the factories you see there was deserted for a long time until a couple of years ago some artists went and squatted it and turned it into a contemporary art museum and an art incubator and all that stuff that poor artists do with old factories.

That's the one I mean. I own it, but before I got to watch it, they announced that they found the missing reels and started restoring them. The restored version has shown at some festivals so far, but I'm waiting for it to appear on Blu-ray  Cheesy

I'm looking forward to that as well. I watched the most current version a few years ago and now I watched the trailer and the set design still mesmerizes me.

Metropolis disappointed me quite a bit. It felt like just a lot of eye-candy, honestly

A few favorites I can think of are Un Chan Undelou which I probably misspelled badly, Cache, Requiem for a Dream, Sankofa, and the most artistic indie of them all: Black Dynamite
