They aren't interviewing Konjak BECAUSE THEY ARE ONLY INTERVIEWING NORTH AMERICAN INDIE DEVELOPERS THIS HAS BEEN SAID MANY TIMES AND SHOULD BE QUITE OBVIOUS TO YOU GIVEN THAT THEY ARE NOT INTERVIEWING NOTCH, CACTUS, TERRY CAVANAGH, PETRI PURHO, FARBS, OR MANY OTHER OF THE GREAT INDIES OUTSIDE OF THE NORTH AMERICA
That's a very very very very bad move, in my opinion. There is a ton of great talent outside of NA and a lot more developers. WTF

WTF I'm pretty sure they weren't able to get out to the places where they could get these interviews as easily. Canada to US/US to Canada is much easier than North America to Europe.

They could have at least done a Skype interview or something.

well i'm sure they were shooting for consistency in how the whole thing looks. not that they couldn't have done it in the extra stuff. but maybe they either won't have time, or just choose not to do it. hopefully they will add some extra little interviews in.

A Skype interview would be appropriate for a television news channel, but completely awful for this format. I don't mind. I don't think Notch would be very appropriate anyway, seeing as he's kind of a recent phenomenon (and already has a documentary being made just for him).

Also about your analogy with he architect: If I heard the architect say "I poured all my weaknesses into the structural composition of this building" I'd run like hell. I'd run like hell if an indie dev said that.

It's what makes indie games human and dangerous like love. It brings a feeling of intrigue that they can collapse on you with deep emotions, not a feeling of security that prosperous architecture brings.
What is an example of a game with feeling? Savage.

That's a very very very very bad move, in my opinion. There is a ton of great talent outside of NA and a lot more developers. WTF To put things into perspective, two plane tickets from NA to Europe, return, coach, cost around $2k. If the number Gabriel Verdon put out for their budget ($20k) is accurate, they would have spent 10% of that just getting across the Atlantic, not to mention travel up and down to the UK, Scandinavia, etc. You make do with what you have. Maybe if this movie is a success, they'll do a sequel (oh noes, how very un-indie) and go talk to all of those wonderful people they couldn't get in this time.
