That scene with Fish jumping in the water is so cool, methinks.

Game development isn't like a concentration camp. It's like 'Nam.

The trailer kinda puts me off the film, if only because it focuses on people that are already fairly prominent and respected. Would be nice to see some love for the weirder folk. It's a pretty slick presentation, though, and I'm sure the editing will be top notch. I just don't know if I will watch it, since it feels like I already have a good grasp of what the promoted artists are going to say or talk about.

I cannot take seriously any rant or whining from a people that make games like that. It just doesn't fit. Interesting documentary nevertheless, but presents very stereotypic elements. My first thought was that is this parody... But apparently not.

Yea, I think it remains to be seen in the final film how it's presented. We all know trailers can take things way out of context, create the wrong impression.

It would've incredible if they followed someone completely unknown just working on something, and followed the trials / tribulations and whatever came of it. They would've been pretty lucky to find the right person though.

There was another Kickstarter with a slightly more unusual cast of indies, "You Meet The Nicest People Making Videogames". It was awfully amateur though, and fall far short of the funding (tbf, I think they gave it a really small timeframe like a week or smth Facepalm ).

To be clear, I'm not saying the movie will be bad, or the filmmakers should feel awful for making it. Just that I personally am not likely to watch the movie. Not because it looks bad, but because without that "oooo unknown" factor a movie about game developers doesn't really interest me.

to be fair youre probably not the intended audience for it and neither is anyone else on tigs. docs about niche subjects are usually not aimed at people who are already "experts" on the subject but are meant to give outsiders an introduction.

But nobody outside this forum is going to think it's serious.
