...is fucking great! It's like the first S&P and Space Harrier spent a passionate night together and this the love child that resulted from it.

Bring on the "gotta dust off my Wii" jokes.

I'd make a joke about how the Wii has no good games, but I'm too busy dusting it off.

...No wait.

But the Wii has had good titles for months now?

And yes, it is great. Bought it when it came out in Europe a couple of weeks ago. Still need to finish it though.

The original is excellent as well, and I suggest anyone interested in this one to get the original from the Virtual Console first. It's 12 bucks I think.

Yeah, I got it yesterday (had to order from Amazon because stores here seem to be unwilling to carry it) and I've actually only just finished Stage 2, but still from what I've played this is pretty damn near perfection as far as rail shooters go.

Also, the Wii has lots of good games, it's just that, unless they're first party, no one seems to take notice of them. S&P2 has something like 13000 copies sold worldwide.  Concerned

That's sad. Considering Nintendo themselves are pushing it pretty hard.

I'm at Stage 5 myself. So far, 3 has been my favourite. What I love about the game is that you get about 2 hours worth of ideas and design in like 20 or 30 minute stages. Seriously, I played the game for about 40 minutes when I first picked it up, felt like I'd been playing for hours. So much originality!

I also had to pause the game because my eyes were getting watery from all the explosions.

Wow, you guys must've missed a ton of games then.
What's even worse than people saying there's no games on Wii is people saying "Why is this not on PS3/360?" when a good game does come out for the system.

Yup, it's been out for a few weeks now Smiley Got delayed in the US I think.

Wii has had a really good year so far, weird-ass time to drop the dust-related comments (tho it did collect a lot of dust last year).

I know I'm a bit late to the punch but this just had to come out late in the US and it's only been out for a few days here Apoplectic. I just wanted to say that it's awesome in every way except for its one shortcoming: It only takes about 5 hours to beat. That's like paying $10 an hour to play it... but I have to say, it was worth it. Hand Thumbs Up Left

It's funny the different perspectives on the length you get.  I've seen a ton of people complain about it being too long for a rail shooter and a pain to play for score because of that.
