Hello! I would like to show you our second game for iPhone & iPod touch: Oddy Smog's Misadventure. We have been working on this for four months (my colleage, who takes care of illustration and music, and me, programmer), and now it's finally in the App Store. This must be the closest thing to giving birth that a man can do... We hope you like it!

That is some fantastic music Gentleman.

I can't quite work out what's going on in the game, from the video. Is it played with just one button, to time your jumps?

It works by pressing and holding the right part of the screen, in order to grab and stay on cogs, and lifting the finger for jumping in the direction you are facing. That is, the tangent, not just outwards. Then, in mid-air, you can perform a double jump tapping the right side of the screen to complete difficult jumps.

That, combined with wall-climbing, which Oddy does by himself for a little bit (then hurling himself to the void), makes a nice mechanic.

So basically it is a climbing game, but rescuing prisoners (you see one of them in the screenshot) acts as a score multiplier. Thus, in order to get high scores, you have to risk your 'life'. And you have to climb constantly, or the rising Smog will catch you.

The emplacement of cogs is different each time you play, and the higher you are the more difficult it gets. There are moving cogs, rusty cogs which break apart, teleport cogs...

If things go well we will add more content in future updates. So far, people seem to be enjoying it! We even got some nice comments in GameTrailers, where iPhone games usually get harsh critics...

And yes, the music is fantastic. My colleage is truly talented! (see http://israelcastro.es for more of his works)
