Let's say this week will end at midnight Pacific time (5 hours left, SUCKERS)
Short criticism toonight, since I'M BUSY Angry
re: Juggler's image problem, reupload to imgbay or imgur, neither of them are liable to delete your shit.

@Derakon!
Action pose based on Parkour_1.jpg
Not much to say here, you pointed out most there is. The reference has a really nice curve to it on the (our) right arm that yours doesn't have, and the planted arm goes out further (roughly to where the foot is), but otherwise nice.

Hands based on ClassicalHand04.jpg
Squashed vertically! Makes the hands look really long and lanky. Lots of sharper angles on the hand have been rounded out. A very clean and simple presentation though, which is good Smiley

@Iamthejuggler!
Dead on with self-critique. The arm she's leaning on also goes out a little further right, though. Also, the reason the leg looks like it has lumps when you've got the same silhouette as the reference is, I'm pretty sure, because the shadows extend all the way to the knee-lump and then stop abruptly. If you look at the reference, that plane of light extends further up her leg.

And now the hands. I did ClassicalHand04.jpg from the attached zip.
Hands
I think the proportions of the thumb in the upper one are off. Maybe too small? Also the bottom line of the lower one where the hand meets the arm looks really weird to me.
People really fuckin' love ClassicalHand04.hpg Crazy
Very good. You squashed the fingers on the lower hand a lot, though (run out of space on your paper?), and the fingers as a whole are too thin. Nicely done, though Smiley!

Overall i think i really struggle with line quality. Getting the shape from my mind onto the page without using sketchy lines is hard. I do think that after the terrible neutral pose i improved a bit. My shading is also quite dirty looking, i blame the paper i am drawing on! (not really, but it is quite rough). Would love some pointers Smiley
Looks like charcoal paper Durr...? The shading came out alright! If you really want cleaner shading, you can use lighter pencils for lighter shades, but it really looks fine as it is. There're no obvious flaws in the way you work itself, going by those two pictures, so just keep it up, I guess <3

@MegaLeon!
Relaxed Pose (Reference: IS422-024.jpg)

Meh, is that gobble on the right an hand? Hard to say.
Yeah! I'm happy you signed up, Leon.
Lady has huge head. Tongue The hip on our right goes out a bit further. She's not wearing boxers, that's the fabric being pulled forward by her leg. The left leg goes out further to the left, without that she's off balance. You've simplified the forms of the arms into two cone-ovally segments, but look at the negative space around them: the left arm is more bar shaped, with most of the definition being the shadows on the arm. Right upper arm is more turkey-leg shaped than coneovical.

Don't know why I wanted to hurt myself with that pose.
Another broken image. Internet hates people with nipples or pubic hair. Roll Eyes

Feet  (Ref: Feet_by_NoTouch.jpg)
http://img693.imageshack.us/i/35610096.jpg/
Guess I owned the previous drawings a feet or two.
Scanner killed the shadows, though   Facepalm
These are excellent! <3 Why, if I had a foot fetish...
The upperleft one is kind of horizontally squashed, and the pinky toe in the top right one is too big, but otherwise, you done great. Smiley Hand Thumbs Up Right

SHIT LIST:
-Xion (Oh come on, after all this goading I'll be pissed if you fail)
-Renton (partial)
-Eric McQuiggan
-Jad

Reference- 019_by_thiswaslost.jpg
Too many mistakes to note on paper, so...
Crits:
* Overall: Horrible.
* Strangely placed muscles
* Crotch = weird
* Strange shading
* Generally messed up head: squished and distorted
* Stoned facial expression
* No elbows/knees
* Bad hands and feet
* Limbs too thick
* Short neck
* High shoulders
* Just... Ugh I can't even look at it anymore. Disgusting.

Reference- IS560-073.jpg
I feel this one turned out okay, apart from the lack of detail.
Crits:
* Lack of detail
* Small head
* Action line is slightly off?

Hey, I'm... Done. Not done well, but done!  Tears of Joy
I'll be busy for this week's challenge, so don't expect much.
I'll try my best though!
Also, I definitely wasn't late. At all. Blink Blink

I'll try to get something done tonight since I'll probably be at my friends', i.e. not having to commute home 2 hours after work, i.e. having time

Sorry, it's been a tough week. Deep down I knew I wouldn't be able to make the deadline Panda

Anyway:

Screwed up the size. This is a recurring problem for me, I don't measure the things too well from the start.

I don't really know why but I don't like how this one turned out.

The hands ended up better than I expected. Yay.

I was making example images for this week, but it was taking me a lot longer than I intended, so here we go, with no examples until tomorrow most likely.

ASSIGNMENT FOR WEEK 2:

1) Unreferenced person drawering

Draw a person without a reference! Nude or in underwear (meaning, nothing unnecessarily obscuring anatomy) Any pose, any media, whatever.

2) Character Model Sheet
x
Character design time! Draw a character model sheet, person's clothing should be clearly visible. Needs a front view and either a side view or back view (or both!)

FOR HONORABLE WARRIORS, WHO LIKE RECEIVING GOLD STARS.:
-Draw 3 model sheets for characters. 2 of which must be based on any of the following  archetypes:
1)Lone Gunman (with a surprisingly mundane past)
2)Sci-Fi Recon Soldier
3)Witch
4)Tribal Hunter

Honor Roll:
-Ashkin
-Cow
-Jad
-Iamthejuggler
-Derakon
-Xion

legend:
- First submission in a week
- FOR HONORABLE WARRIORS
- Exceptional critic
- Came back from the Wall of Shame
- Did something in bee-oowtuhfool color
- WEEK 2 :: Completed a full model sheet, with 3 views (as opposed to the minimum of two) and a table of three expressions (e.g. happy, sad, angry). You can get up to three.

Wall of Shame:
-Bood War
-Jad
-Eric McQuiggan
-Renton
-Xion

Ignoring partials for now, will be added to the list on Friday
