I'm tired of not having a repository for great animation on this forum. It seems like the place where there should be such a thing - like the kind of thing people around here would be able to appreciate.

Not limited to shorts or things online, though a link to trailers would be nice for feature length films. Not limited to new or old. Just beauty, profundity, humor, greatness.

Here are the three latest animations I've watched today:

The Music Scene

and a personal favorite:

So come on, let's watch some things that will blow our minds.

And also,

Miyazaki, Jan Svankmajer, and Paul Robertson all go without saying, so I won't post any of those guys, and I won't waste your time with everything I've got... Only the best of what you may not have seen:

Neo Tokyo - Japanese Anime compilation from 3 different artists. The first is my favorite:

Golem - Unfinished stop-motion film by Czech surrealist Jiri Barta:

Sandman - Creepy stop-motion short:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjgHbRrnjhU

MUTO by Blu - No doubt you've already seen this incredible graffiti animation that has nearly 7 million views:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuGaqLT-gO4

Ukrainian sand animation:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhbKovroSgg

Story from North America - Nice song and music video Cactus showed me:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ms2klX-puUU

How Wings are Attached to the Backs of Angels - Dark, surreal B&W animation:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRHVzbJVx8I

cyriak's Animation Mix - you've probably seen it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3JCESdFNyw

1-UP Music Video - Retro-styled 8bit animation (I think I originally found here on TIGS):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQHLYa43-jc

Cat Shit One - Trailer for a Japanese 3D war movie that features anthropomorphic animals:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gr4QBZfjtqs

The Diary of Tortov Roddle - A series of anime shorts taking place across surreal dreamscapes:

The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello - Steampunk silhouette animation:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vORsKyopHyM

Steel Fantasia - Five excellent Flash-based steampunk animation shorts:

MUTO by Blu - No doubt you've already seen this incredible graffiti animation that has nearly 7 million views:

Actually, I was not privileged to have experienced one of those seven million views; this was new to me.
It was really excellent... pretty crazy imagery. The heads-coming-out-of-mouths part reminded me of Fullmetal Alchemist...

The philosophical rambling gets annoying but the animation is mindblasting. The faces, oh man, the faces.

I love how exaggerated everything is in Triplettes de Belleville.  The portrayal of Americans is about as cruel as it is freaking hilarious.  Cheesy  Plus, you don't even neen to speak French (or any language, really) to understand what is going on.  There's
less dialogue in it than Wall-E.

Steel Fantasia (click the picture thumbs to watch)

Brackenwood

A friend of mine finally got his senior animation up on YouTube earlier this week, so here's that:
Mashed

This should move to the art forum now?
A thread about any other cinematic style wouldn't, so why move this one?

The Secret of Kells was pretty nifty, I saw that a few days ago.  It's very...hmmm.  I dunno what it's like.  That could be a good thing.  Well, hello there!

->average office worker guy gets into most complicated and awkward situations...
every single time. hilarious.
