The carts were made for a non-profit exibition, and since this is a non-profit competition, our games should be considered derivative works. The chances of us getting in trouble for using these carts are very small, if any at all.

The subtitle to the Competitions sub-forum still says "Currently running: nothing!", maybe it should be changed. Edit: I'm still debating which one to take. It's between Burp N Shoot or Extra Heroes. This is what I came up with for Extra Heroes. (note that I'm a programmer so I'm pretty happy with the results) image
I just picked that one (and spent a lot of time deciding too)

Hey, question about:
[Game Name]
by [Your Name]
[OS's/Platforms your game runs on, separated by comma]
Download/Play, Thread
The download/play link sound somewhat odd. Are you supposed to link to the file, or to the download page? If you're supposed to link to the file, what about games which support multiple OSs? Are images not going to be with the download links for the games? Also, you forgot to color the brackets red.

I just picked that one (and spent a lot of time deciding too) More than one person can pick the same cart. @Laremere I'll look into it. I can probably word that better.

Oops, I was going to post this much earlier and Melly pointed it out, but I've been insanely busy the last few days. I released a beta version of a quickie Famicom-like engine in C++ in Feedback a few weeks ago: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=13261.0 Its totally free, written using SDL and OpenGL with the intention of making it easy and painless to make a Famicom like game. Feel free to use it with your games, I don't know if I'll have time to finish the Shader NTSC support, but if I do I'll make it painless to integrate.

This has barely been running for three days and the sheer wealth of interesting/intriguing entries is already overwhelming me. I've got a feeling that this is going to be a great compo!

I'm SOOOO stoked for this compo! I've been waiting since Assemblee Part 2 to do something... time to get some espresso and tums for these upcoming late nights!

Okay, weird request. I'm going to make a game for this. However at the end would it be possible to be excluded from the voting?
I don't really like making my games to be voted on, primarily because I want people to play my stuff because they're interested in it, rather than feeling they are obligated to as part of their voting decision.

There's always the thread link next to it for those that want to try the other versions. I'd link to the Assemblee Part 2 page as an example of how it was done last time, but it seems to have vanished in the last server move.

I probably won't be able to take part in this awesome compo, but this must be one of the best fake games ever! I imagine it would be like playing sim city but everything is automated and you only control the disaster-button and the tax rate
