OK, I'm still missing a few replies but I've decided to get the game underway. Everything had been going well in the village of TIGSTown - the villagers were prospering, expanding their land and just generally having a Good Time. Then, a week ago, things started happening. Sheep began to die inexplicably - cause of death: lack of throat, internal organs and meat. More sheep were being taken night by night, and the villagers began to get restless. Something was going on.
Then, three nights ago, the village drunk was found smeared across the walls in a gruesome display which chilled the villagers to the bone. The Mayor of this small hamlet examined what was left of the body.
"Hmmm... Looks to me like we have some werewolves in our midst. I'd recognise those marks anywhere. The last village I was in, everyone died. Werewolves overran the place. I was lucky to escape. Let's hope we can find them and kill them before it's too late..."
The hunt for the werewolves has been fruitless since then. More peope have died, and the remaining villagers are getting jumpy. To top it off, the remains of the Mayor were found this morning, neatly served onto several plates, with accompanying bottles of condiments and Tiger Sauce, and cutlery.
The werewolves are getting bolder and more daring, and pandemonium has erupted. With the Mayor gone, nobody is able to make decisions. Every day from now on, the villagers will watch each other closely, and at dusk they will execute one person deemed most suspicious. Mob rule has become the law, but will it save the village of TIGSTown...?It is now DAY. Posting may begin. Once again, good luck everyone! Day will end approximately 36 hours from this post - I'll give more notice closer to the time. (Judging from the slow response to PMs etc, I have decided that 24 hours is probably too short.)

Maybe so, but my ears are kinda more demon-ish pointy than werewolf-ish pointy. Besides, ye be a dog, and that's one step closer to bein' a wolf, eh?

I demand a list of who is in and who is not! Also, let's hang TeamQuiggan, there is something suspicious about him being so quick with the hanging of other people.
Narration: Later on, jstckr will have changed his vote.

Well this is interesting! Now we can get down to discussing things. The first couple of votes are just to feel out peoples reactions. So Terry and Ninjascience, either you made horrendous noobie mistakes and put me a scant few votes from the chopping block without any real evidence, killing a potential peasant.
OR
One or both of you are Were-wolves, attempting a quick hanging! With this I
withdraw my vote
and wag an accusatory finger at both Terry and Ninjascience

Could we please get a list of all players, so we could easily notice all those trying to lurk.
I'm going to vote for Terry... for now. Since this is shinygerbil's first werewolf game, he might lie about the roles being totally random. The important roles would probably be given to people that post regularly, so Terry's post count gets him my vote.

Could we also have a no editing rule - things might get confusing if people change their posts and remove the evidence once they are attacked.

There already is a list of players. It's in the first post. The important roles would probably be given to people that post regularly, so Terry's post count gets him my vote.
So you're actually aiming to kill the Seer, the Guardian Angel and/or the Vigilante? Werewolf, werewolf! Fishymuffin ( withdrawn) gets my vote, even though his name is awesome.
