Hi

After just translating alot of stuff to flash (with flashpunk in flashdevelop) the new next big thing is here, so i decided to start getting into javascript plus the canvas

i found the Akihabara library , what are people different opinions on other libraries / frameworks and what not to get started ?

atm it seems Mootools or jQuery, javascript (IDE tips :eclipse?), and surely much more i haven't found out yet.

thanks in advance

As a side note, you might be interested to know that Paul Bakaus found out that canvas might not be the most performant alternative in the HTML5 world. He started creating the Aves Engine (http://www.dextrose.com/en/projects/aves-engine), which uses mostly css3 and JS. He also did a presentation on the subject at google: http://bit.ly/9dfv6R

i still have to watch the video, but i get the idea Paul B only likes to show something working to people with buckets filled with cash. Wich is understandable but not very helpful atm.
