This is clearly more a political commentary than a standard game.

Yeah, it was pretty obvious to me everybody in that trailer besides the two protagonists had gone nuts, which explains their strange, erratic behaviour. It also seemed like many of them were desperately trying to maintain a view that their life was still in one piece, and they go balistic whenever someone disburts their fantasy (in this case the player).

Jingoism isn't a common subject in games. I quite welcome it.

I have to give them credit, there are some times where I can't tell if it's a scripted event or the player is actually controlling the character. Not to mention the guy talking about "taking arms" with barrels full of rifles and signs reading "take arms"... and when you take one the rifles, he attacks you. Yeah, and shit like this is just pretty ham-handed. The entire intro is either a scripted event, or bating a player in the scripted event. Wouldn't this have just been a lot cooler as a cutscene?

I don't know about you guys but I think this looks fukken awesome. The only part that bugged me even a little was the first time he used the rails, but I like to assume that was more like a little tutorial thing showing that you could indeed use the rails than it was an attempt at actual gameplay. Everything else was radtastic.

Oh no, I think it looks awesome, but I think it looks awesome in the same way concept art is awesome. It gives you an indication of where the project is going, but it doesn't give any indication of how an actual human is supposed to play it.

i was hooked right away, but the part in the bar was so interesting, with the whole cheery nature going sour in a second, it was beautiful.

I hope isn't actually that heavily scripted. Also, I like the setting, but the lighting effects hurt my eyes.

The setting looks incrdidbly awesome. This is the steampunk I like, with more victorian and less clockwork abuse.
What I don't like is that the playable character seems to know exactly what to say according to the current action he is doing. This gets egregious when fighting the gorillaesque robot dude. The whole fight and daalogue looks just waaaay too much like a cutscene.
In fact, I think we have got enough big daddy lookalikes. It would be nice for a chnage to have just raving humans, maybe driving vsomewhat credible vehicles to add variety.

Hmm, I still haven't played the first bioshock, but this looks neat.
The first bioshock is my favorite in the series. Great mood, gameplay, acting, story... you're missing out!
