I could use somewhere to crash, ideally with someone planning on to the Jam as well who has means of transportation.

I decided taking public transit every day from Berkeley was a terrible idea, so am looking for some place to crash as well ...

Sorry to be so late posting this, but I have a place in Daly City (15 minutes south of San Francisco) with enough floor space for about 4 people, welcome to anyone. If you don't have a sleeping bag + pillow, I can scrape together stuff.
I might not have a car for the whole weekend, but likely part of it. If a one-hour trip down on trains would be torture for you, don't count on me.
Free coffee + tea + creepy mannequins are abundant here. PM me if you need a place!

From a Hacker Dojo member, Alison Chaiken:
My place is dirty and crammed, but if people wanted to sleep on the floor anyway, they'd be welcome. I'm just a mile or two from the Dojo, a little far to walk but an easy bike. alison.chaiken at hackerdojo.com

I'm not sure if it's gonna be cheaper for me to commute down there via Caltrain every day (will probably cost around $20 a day for transportation) or if I should try to find some place to crash for one or two of those nights (I think that option would be best?)

One of my three spots just opened up because a Jammer can't make it. So, car ride, beers, bed, and breakfast for anyone who wants

Hey, I'd love to get on that Chris if you're commuting from SF. Otherwise, feel free to give it to somebody more needing

I've still got a spot available if anyone is waiting until the last minute to figure out lodging. I live just a short drive away.

I do indeed have room for two. I even have a couch, an air mattress, and a carpeted floor.

Last-minute update for the desperate!
I have a car for the whole weekend with one seat left. My place is still open to penniless (or social) out-of-towners.
(update) Car is now pakt like sardines.
