Fuck yeah there was a Scooby-Doo game for the Megadrive and it looks flippin' fantastic. These are the least interesting shots I took and even these look great so it bodes well for the rest of the game.

Oh yeah, all those NGPC fighting games are pretty sweet. I should try to find some screenshots of the NGPC version of SNK vs Capcom.
In the meantime, Beyond Oasis looks fantastic with its super clean manga style graphics:
Why have I never played this?!

, another GameFreak game, but for the SNES. Plays sort of like Zelda, as usual, amazing art.

Jump ultimate Stars has some of the best sprite-work I've ever seen in a game.
I really strongly disagree. A lot of the sprites are completely clashing with eachother stylewise, and the animation ain't all that either.

i find JUS impressive by the scope alone. the animations are pretty choppy and the sprites can be sloppy at times, but there's so many characters and supports its hard not to be a bit impressed.

They've taken around a few hundred different characters from many different series with different art styles and unified them all artistically. None of these characters look as though they aren't part of the same game. And the level of detail in each one is incredible. They are small, sure, but they are all easily identifiable despite this.

But you know what has just as many characters and supports and superior art and animation? Card Sagas Wars

Oh, man. Anyone remember the fire/ice cave from that game? It was this frozen cave you ran through until you found the key, at which point all the ice erupted into lava, forcing you to hustle back through a much more hostile version of the same map. (There were a few enemies unique to it, too!)
Shit was bitchin'.

Card Sagas Wars
Card Sagas Wars is being developed without a deadline in their own free time. It currently has like 4 playable characters, and has been in development for what? Three years? Come on, you can't compare the two.

Come on, you can't compare the two. Definitely. Although I do hope this gets finished and we really do get to see all the characters they're promising in a complete game.

Why have I never played this?! You've probably never played it because it came out in the end-of-life cycle for Sega Genesis. It's really worth checking out though, the game play & puzzles are fun, not to mention some of the best graphics I remember seeing on the Genesis.
