Thought I'd post rudolf's tweet here, for people who might be in London (I won't be at it myself):

Thanks Inc.! Nice one :-D

This is the first one of a monthly informal, "meet and greet and be merry and celebrate indie game dev" social thingee. Nothing too serious, but if you do any indie game dev and you fancy meeting up with like minded souls do drop by. :-)

It may be fun to make yourselff somewhat recognisable as an indie developer. Up to you how to do that. :-D

DOUBLE POST: If anybody has any recommendations of cool things to check out while I'm in town, that would be amazing.

What sort of things are you interested in?
The British Museum (free) is worth some time - they have an enormous amount of goodies snaffled from about the globe (Egyptian mummies/Totem poles/Easter island head...).

Apparently there is a tubestrike on starting at 5pm, which will make travel hell.

It may be better if I reschedule this.   Cry

Just to say I think I will come along.

Also rescheduling is fine by me (I actually own rescheduling so it's a good job you have my permission).

Well, if enough people want to come despite the strike I won't reschedule of course!
I planned to start 2 or 3 pm anyway so at least there won't be an issue getting there. :-)

If I had to choose I would probably have it a different day but I will try to come either way. Just have to get the bus Smiley

I'm personally okay to get there, despite the strikes. A train from herne hill goes straight to king's cross, which is just about walking distance from the crown. Looking forward to it. This emoticon:  Beer!

I definitely plan on visiting the British Museum and all the standard places. But I guess I'm especially looking for the type of stuff that's harder to find outside of a quick internet search. Stuff like art galleries with pop or contemporary art, secret comic book shops and arcades, and other sort of game developer/nerd hangouts.

I finish work at 6. How long are you guys staying there?

I know the tube strike finishes on Wednesday some time, but does the strike end at a certain time on that Monday? I just want to make sure that I can get home okay. Smiley

I reckon I will stay fairly long. There are some decent bus connections to Angel btw, and you can even walk to St Pancras in about 30 mins max if that is of any use?
