The engine has been in development 6 months now and is scheduled for release this year. It allows for plugin-free, cross-platform browser game development. It comes with Rocket Builder tool which enables user to build games without coding experience. User can also load game's assets to cloud like Google Docs which in theory means you could develop your project from anywhere.

Personally I think it's rather interesting. I'm not sure if it supports actual coding though, at least I understood it did (shuld watch video again). I don't know how well it works in practice between different devices but the idea behind the system is great in my opinion.

It sounds pretty cool, although I would also be interested to see how much you can edit any actual code, and how versatile it is for creating different kinds of games.

Yeah, same. Would be shame if it didn't support anykind scripting or coding :/

Wow, that looks pretty awesome. But as Ninjutsu said, I'd also be interested in how much of the code you can actually modify. Even though having to do practically no code can be fun and often useful, I like to have the ability to modify any part of my game, including any and all scripts (or make new ones if I want).

Hopefully it has this feature, and if not, hopefully they add it Tongue

Hi guys, and sorry for being so late to the party.

Allow me to answer your questions:

- The engine is highly modular, so you can create any kind of game you wish. This means for example that once WebGL starts getting wider browser support, Rocket Engine will support it.
- You can extend the bundled components and also create totally new ones with JavaScript.

So although you can get a lot done with the components that come with the engine - great for prototyping! - this is a professional platform suited for building anything from single player iPhone games to complex MMOs. Our goal is to make developing both easier than it is now. Smiley

Sorry about that! The amount of contact requests has been crazy - I'm working my way through the list as fast as I can...
