I saw this Javascript/HTML5 game, Biolab Disaster posted on Daring Fireball today.

The best part is the "behind the scenes" video that the developer made about the game. The engine and level editor look very interesting, and he's going to be releasing it at some point.

This Javascript/HTML5 stuff is still very clearly early, but it's going to be very cool to play around with.

Very well made game. I enjoyed it.

The structure is fairly linear, but this is a fantastic tech demo.

Not the best game ever, but probably the best I've seen done using Javascript/HTML5.
Shows that you really can make a good game using Javascript/HTML5.

Edit: There seems to already be a topic about this here.

Woah. That took less than a minute to crash Google Chrome. A fluke, or is Chrome not meant to handle HTML5?

Wow, the best thing about this is how much it looked like some of the earlier Flixel demos.

I know that Akihabara (or however the hell you spell it) exists but it just seems a bit less accessible to me.

Also a big step for making HTML5 matter more is MAKING IT WORK IN FIREFOX.

EDIT: And seconds after posting this I see the maker of this game is working on a kick ass looking HTML5 engine.

Is it me or does this steal the title screen graphic from Arne? I can't find the exact one.

It says on the site that the title is by Arne and is used by permission.

Must've been a fluke. Came back and it runs just fine (the page claims Chrome suffers "sound issues" but I detect nothing that seems unusual).

Interesting that unlike a flash game clicking the window does not give it precedence for the arrow keys. Pressing up and down will still scroll the page. I suppose the use of frames could prevent that.

Pretty sure that there's a JavaScript hack to prevent scrolling with arrow keys.

Probably a problem on chrome's part and not yours, but enabling the new GPU-accelerated canvas operations and compositing makes the display black in Chrome 7 dev/canary.

Otherwise, a damn fine job, and you're on reddit!  Hand Thumbs Up Left
