Yeah, Myspace Music is pretty much the only thing related to Myspace that anyone uses anymore Shrug

It's good if you're in a band and you're not pretentious enough to have a bandcamp. Pretty convenient to upload and share stuff.

Myspace doesn't really have much for actual community, though, does it? You just make a page and... then... nothing happens? Am I missing something?

Does Bandcamp really have a "pretentious" stigma? I didn't know that. Cheesy

To piggyback off of this thread: does anybody know of any communities for, uh, 'experimental' music? I'd love to talk about autoharps and drone-stuff, but I haven't really found anything worth being an active member of.

KVRAudio.com is a really wonderful community, pretty friendly overall, with something of an emphasis on gear + technology.

There are the ihatemusic forums. I don't really know of any others. I've been involved with the netlabel scene (a good portion of which is experimental music) and all of the communication with other people happened through Myspace and email.

Hope that helps.  Wink
