Everybody stop making games! They apparently suck! Or are you just jealous of that particular game's success?...

Is this sarcasm, as in do you really think it sucks?

Having nothing to do at work atm. Thought it would be sweet but I find myself tired instead.

The fact I pretty much have to use Linux to compile a GNU Java compiler and lack the RAM to really do a virtual image of it.

Is this sarcasm, as in do you really think it sucks? I'm skeptical, but I always am whenever I see a description of a company or a game (this is theirs) "Exploding Rabbit likes to create games with fun, unique gameplay and interesting characters. They also prefer to makes games that are simple in their design but are still fun and challenging." That...that means nothing. The word "unique" is used so much, it's meaningless. Their team looks talented, so hopefully they deliver to the funders.

Yeah, that is worrisome. But thinking up a non-buzzword filled mantra is very difficult. They need to take some time to rethink and reword that for sure.

They don't need to prove anything. They only want to make a better game than before. The video is boring, but at least they have the concept and some images. And Kickstarter was made to support the people who need money.

I wish them luck, regardless.
It seems like it is something they really want to do and they'd only asked for $10,000 initially with fairly realistic and reasonable intentions for the money (for example, paying for Unity Pro and Apple and Android devices to test and build with). I've seen much worse on KickStarter.
EDIT: Holding features for ransom ("Give us $20,000 and we'll add a Time Attack mode!") pretty much killed it for me. Fuck them and their game.

Agreed, I don't see anything too bad with this though I'm not really interested in it either. If they are passionate about it then I wish them luck and hope they succeed, like for everyone like that.

The disparity of the rewards between $2000 and $2500 is really bizarre. $2000 and you can choose a game for Jay to let's play, but you don't get any of the other rewards below it unless you shell out the extra 500? And that's the only incentive for a $2500 kick. Not that I'd ever even promise ten bucks, but what the fuck? If someone insane enough pledges $2000, and doesn't even get a pre order or beta access, then there better be a blowjob included in the deal. Edit: I just read that if the kickstarter hits $30,000, they'll add multi-language support. Fuck me with a rusty pair of shears that's stupid. They can fuck right the fuck off. Can you tell I'm a little pissed off today?

I always interpreted those 'features for ransom', as JWK put it, as "we can devote resources to this if we have the money for it."
